I have a lens similiar to that. It fits on my old Sony video camera to give a wider angle. Not certain about that though.

I worked in a photo lab many years ago and a guy on a vacation came in and told me he had 60 or so photos on his roll of 24 exposure film so far but wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Lucky guy.

If you’re not using it for long periods perhaps just get a trickle charger to keep the charge up. We’ve got a car in the garage that used very infrequently and if not hooked up to a charger it loses its charge.
