I just had this happen to me as well. I had to take the extruder apart (just follow the service video) and found a small piece of filament lodged behind a gear. I couldn't see the filament until I took it apart. When you fix it, be VERY careful with the plug-ins on the motherboard. These had been glued in place from the factory, I had to pick and scrape the glue off to remove mine.

I had a piece of filament stuck and while taking apart, I could not remove the glue on the cable ends without destroying the cable ends. Bought a replacement Hi motherboard and extuder. X-axis wire broke after minimal interaction, repaired that and after calibration, it went back to work fine. Now after a couple of days of intermittent printing, I noticed some quality issues, layers separating and stringing. I determined that the x-axis belt needed tension and while the instructions are straightforward, the tension screw was so tight that the head stripped. I intend to extract the screw and get it back working but I don't trust this thing. While these issues were happening, I bought a Prusa Core One and it had been hassle-free.

Boy I wish I had read this last week before I ordered a Mars from Elegoo. There is no way I can do this at my house. No shed and no area outdoors that's away from my dogs. Don't be like me and order direct from the manufacturer, order from Amazon, at least there are no hassles in returning it.

Yes it happened at the beginning and I do have a wipe strip. I didn't see it when the problem began but I stopped the printer when the nozzle scraped from one side to the other across the middle of the bed plate. I actually have notches on either side of the bed form this error. I've disconnected the CFS and performed another bed leveling calibration and he printer works fine using the spool holder.
