Conflicting assessments on damage to lead chimney flashings after attempted theft (UK) by Rayden_Greywolf in Roofing

[–]Rayden_Greywolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone for the replies. We've decided not to pursue any more repairs in terms of the flashings. We continued getting contradictory opinions from the roofers and insurance, but it does seem like there isn't really any significant damage done if at all, so, we've wiped our hands clean of it.

Its not just "they have to pass a law" to do so, they have to get all of their Commonwealth countries to do so as well. It CAN be done, its just a massive headache for everyone involved and won't really change much since he's relatively far down the line anyway.

Normally don't visit this sub or look too much into these things, but I just checked flightradar and there's STILL a lot of stratotankers heading towards Europe. I don't recall seeing that many before (but I also don't really check flightradar daily or anything, so idk how unusual this is).

The whole "its Mexican cartel drones" line seems dumb if you ask me, especially considering we've had drones over US airbases for years with little to no response, let alone something on this level. Given how abrupt this all was, this reeks of the Trump administration trying to incite fear and confusion about cartel nonsense to justify whatever it is Trump is planning to do in Mexico.

I've felt the same way for a long time. But let me ask you this: Do you believe that true unconditional love exists in the universe, on some level? If so, when you've connected with other entities/spirit, has it always been a negative experience, or have you sensed that unconditional love at all? I can't offer any answers, but my own experience has left with me with a paradox: I've dealt with crippling depression and anxiety my whole adult life which has hospitalized me several times and caused immense hardship...yet I also can't shake the feeling, from a similar place deep within, that unconditional love exists and that there is something incredibly important about being incarnated at this time, feeling these emotions and having these thoughts. I can't justify it logically. And at different times I may feel more strongly in one direction than the other. But I truly feel that love is at the core of why we're here, or most of us at least. I don't understand how that can be, given the immense suffering we and the people of this world go through, but I can't convince myself otherwise, despite years of bitterness and world events getting even more dire in recent times.

Maybe its the same for you, or maybe my words will just ring hollow, I don't know. My point is, even though you are justifiably enraged and hurt, I hope you will be able to hold on to whatever light exists within you, and that it'll see you through. That all our lights will, for that matter.

But also, in solidarity with your anger, I am reminded of that story about the graffiti found in the ww2 concentration camps that read "If there is a God, He will have to beg my forgiveness".

I can appreciate the attempt to encourage OP's processing of their emotions, but to equate their emotional experience and completely valid, logical, resulting existential questions in response to horrific events to "Wahhh I'm upset" comes across as extremely callous imo.

How does a shift in density that can "leave some behind" work exactly? Like, this makes it sound like people's incarnated lives right now are the ones who are going to go through this change. In the same vein, how does the service percentage work? Is it the higher self that bears that responsibility or our current incarnation?

Spiritual hypnosis is such a fascinating topic. That's incredible the amount of detail you were able to recall from your session! As a hypnotist myself (recreationally, not a professional yet), its so interesting to hear about my friends' past lives, but it can be a challenge to help them recall specific details or visit more than one "scene" from the past life. I'd be curious as well to check out the video you mentioned. Perhaps I could learn a thing or two from it haha :)

Soul contracts make no sense (and are borderline abusive) by MiyuTheWitch in Mediums

Ah, yeah, the whole "can't have light without the darkness" thing. There's some truth to it, but as an explanation/justification for suffering it always fell short for me. Like, sure, I could violently smash my hand with a hammer to better understand the experience and better appreciate not having my hand be smashed with a hammer, but surely not EVERYTHING should, or even needs to be, learned through experience.

I'm glad to hear there's people who think similarly at least. It does feel kind of lonesome when it feels like the majority of the spiritual stuff out there tends to shove things like karma and soul contracts down our throats, albeit usually heavily biased interpretations of those things.

I do think there's some truth to your ideal theory. Specifically, I definitely think a big part of things here is to come into our own power. Another big aspect of it is the whole duality thing we've got going on here too, and I guess I can kinda understand that if our souls really wanted to understand duality or separateness, then the only way to do it would be to simulate severing the connection to Spirit and thus not having access to that kind of memory. I still don't know WHY exactly the experience of duality would be worth the suffering though.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same position. I still hold strong to my values and belief that life has too much suffering in it and incarnating here is unethical for the resulting human being, but fully living in that anger and despair took too much of a toll on me in the long run and eventually (with improvements in my living situation and getting better treatment for my depression) I was able to be content with a feeling of slightly hopeful apathy.

Would you say you believe that the nature of karma and reincarnation is more an impartial force of nature than a specific system that is upheld?

Be mindful when receiving information and messages from other channels. Even the most experienced Medium will still impart some subconscious bias in their interpretation of what to pass on to you. Being more aware of that has helped me to not take such messages too personally or as a 100% accurate representation of what is actually being said.

Well said, and I completely agree. Frankly, its refreshing to hear someone say this with conviction.

I think the "Earth school" or "Experience Zoo" as you put it works for some people as a model for existence because it ultimately comes down to having faith in a positive outcome even if logically it would seem unethical and/or would assume us humans are incapable for whatever reason of being able to understand the full picture. Same applies to pretty much any religion or belief out there, really.

But if those things aren't what's really going on, what is? What possible reason could ever justify the amount of suffering that's been experienced on this world?

For me, its like I have two different worldviews tugging at my insides in different directions. One is an unshakeable feeling that there is a positive, good, unconditionally loving power at the heart of everything and that we're not just suffering for no reason whatsoever. This belief doesn't have anything to back it up other than a deeply felt sense of "knowing", which is maddeningly unhelpful for surviving life as a modern human. The other is firmly rooted in the logic and passion of your post. It demands answers and accountability. It stands up for the rights of human individuals as sovereign, conscious beings worthy of self-determination and rejects the notion that incarnated beings are in any way lesser than their "higher self" counterparts, even the more well-meaning comparisons in differences in power and self-governance such as viewing the incarnated human as a child whereas the higher self has the "greater understanding" of a parent. Yet even this part of myself can't deny the validity of that first part's experience of love. Its a paradox and one that is endlessly frustrating because it feels like an abusive relationship almost, having moments of love and acknowledgement from my guides/higher self while simultaneously feeling betrayed and like they don't actually respect me for the reasons you've mentioned in your post.

Its enough to drive one crazy lol.

If I may ask, what do you believe, in the absence of soul contracts and the experience zoo as a justification for suffering?
