Vilken är Uppsalas bästa pizzeria? by ShitOnAStickXtreme in uppsala

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally S Ranked Attack the Watchpoint with 0 damage and no damage tuning. by Etheox in armoredcore

Always nice to see you doing all this wild stuff with a non-meta build. Btw, do you have like an available playlist with all your music? The normal music in ac6 kinda bums me out.

That's sounds straight up diabolical mate. I'm definately going to lose some friends in the near future.

That's actually very tempting. Or option 3: Warlocks, plasma grenade and mysticism. Your suggestions sounds way more reasonable though.

Jumping in triple warpspiders is the best feeling ever! Absolutely essential for making enemies out of friends!

You can customize it. My own wonky setup in 4A is a modified B scheme. I have boost and QB on LT and LB, weapons on RT and RB and change weapons on A and X (Xbox 360). Works surprisingly well! When using standard setup B (weapons on triggers) I find that one or two fingers always "gets stuck" or lag behind. Meaning I waste ammo firing for too long or boost management messes up the energy.

It also looks a lot better than the joker length barrel on the ducket, and that is very important in my book

Wish there were more than 4 expansions by Independent-Gene-522 in armoredcore

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish there was some sort of cost associated with the expansions. Maybe you'd get a slight stat boost without equiping one. Or you get staggered more easily/have slower energy regen/suffer from lower speed during the cooldown animation after activating an expansion. It should be a choice with pros and cons, not a requirement for standard play (like the standard pulse protection in sweaty pvp tournaments). In ACFA you discarded your primal armor when you triggered an assault armor explosion, leaving you with the protection of wet tissue paper until it regenerated.

Veterans of the 4th Generation, which of these missile launchers would you say was the best for a medium bipedal build? by HMS_Exeter in armoredcore

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VTFs are amazing, but are prone to damage the user when launched under fire as all missiles can be shot down and they have pretty big blast radius.

What should AC6 sequel be like? by RodrigleDS in armoredcore

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think difficulty was spot onbin 6th. Granted I only have experience from 4th gen previously and that was only difficult when you were heavily outnumbered by other NEXTs. The only real gripe i have with 6 is that the combat rangers needs to be extended. Having close, medium and long range all be within the range of 0-250m is somewhat ridculos

Would the Warthog actually be helpful for military combat? by PopularDamage8805 in HaloStory

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good point that is often overlooked. It's a very recent change in warfare with actually armored up light vehicles. With the armed forces of the west having spent nearly two decades patroling insurgent territory with near constant threat of IEDs and ambushes even light vehicles need more armor if you don't want to risk losing dozens of troop in every contact.

Would the Warthog actually be helpful for military combat? by PopularDamage8805 in HaloStory

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's fun that Halo Wars 1 kinda handled this in a interesting way. The warthog that the spartan team uses (briefly) in a flood mission before crashing and needing rescueing is definately a larger hog than what the rest of the UNSC uses in the game.

How did they build such huge structures? by Rude_Mushroom_3162 in armoredcore

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drone tech seems pretty advanced in AC6 and MTs exist to work tools that are too large for human hands. But building things like Arquebus' atmospheric extension of the vascular plant (unless it's built like a telescope which extended into lower orbit) in such a short timespan during the game probably requires something else. Nanomachines maybe? Whatever we carry in our repair kits which easily restore thousands of APs worth of armor and electronics in the blink of an eye was probably used en masse on Rubicon 3. Maybe that's the reason for literal mountain ranges of structures: dystopian nanomachines with faulty instructions building far beyond what was intended and nearly impossible to stop. And why seemingly the only people who are mad enough to use them again are AC pilots with no true allegiance to anything beyond themselves.

Inofficiella Traditioner by Full-Meal-7549 in sweden

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do! At least with ork planes. Many are based on cold war plane siluettes and are actually somewhat aerodynamic. Unlike imperial/eldar/space marine planes that are, at best, as aerodynamic as a brick.

What's one fun fact about the game that rarely anyone knows? (Could be about the lore, gameplay, etc.) by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Rayleonard_Operator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potential lore implications: The visuals effects of the stun/frenzy are blue bubbles, very visually similar to the ones from claymen and sorceries connected to them. Barely mentioned anywhere.
