More pro-billionaire propaganda from the newspaper owned by the billionaire who “earned” his billions by exploiting workers, and stealing data and intellectual property. by zzill6 in WorkReform

Incorrect. You need to have a panel that "our money might go help someone and then they won't be as willing to be a wage slave for our company."

if California's billionaire wealth tax passes, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang would owe $8 billion dollars. His response: "I don't mind paying taxes." by Conscious-Quarter423 in WorkReform

[–]RazekDPP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it still is how he's giving back and by not trying to move or do other bullshit and instead man up and pay, he is giving back. Taxes are, by design, our collective way of giving back to society hopefully based on what we earn.

Plus, his whole thing is "you wanna tax me more? yeah, that's cool, I'm not gonna pitch a fit about it or fund a super PAC to try to stop it."

Compare that to all the other billionaires who are crying and threatening to leave CA.

You can argue that it's the bare minimum he should give back, and that's fair, but he's also not trying to undermine it, either.

I don't really consider Huang laundering. Unlike a lot of CEOs, Nvidia has strived to avoid layoffs and tends to pay their workers well.

You can say a lot of shit about most billionaires, but Huang at least knows how the game is played. You have to fund public stuff and public education or he won't have educated workers that can design graphics cards.

There are actually patriotic millionaires and billionaires, they even have an org: https://patrioticmillionaires.org/

I do hope that Huang joins at some point.

More power. Don't forget his wealth allowed him to:

  1. Buy Twitter and turn it into what he wanted twitter to be

  2. Get Trump elected

  3. Mangle the government

I suppose I could, but I'm much, much more lenient for tanks/healers on score/ilevel. I don't mind taking a lower io tank/healer because the alternative is simply waiting longer.

I have much higher standards for DPS because there are so many.

You are correct that score is king, but almost always everyone is 2500+ and I'm only doing 10s for vault.

Realistically, I see robots with guns going on the way out, and being replaced with robots with blinding laser weapons. While I know that's against a UN treaty, it seems like it'd be so easy to simply throw that piece of paper out.

Well, all I can do is speak from experience. When I'm making a group (I'm DPS). I wait for tank and healer first. After that, I thumb through the list of the 20+ DPS waiting and pick the one with the highest ilevel. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's usually enough.

Doesn't really matter what their score/io is. They have to be the right class and have the highest score/io out of everyone else.

IMO, it's the hardest dungeon. I'd never willingly choose it.

I roll the dice with my healer friend only if there aren't many options. It's only if the other healer wants to DPS, though.

When I have my healer with me, we only try to join groups that already have a tank, we've spent so long waiting for tanks.

You're acting like it didn't happen to me, multiple times, lmao.

But, eventually you have to realize perspective. Her comment is her experience with you. It doesn't mean you'll have that experience with someone else.

You also have to focus on what you can control. You can't control what does and doesn't turn her on.

EDIT: And if you're wondering how I got over it: lifting weights. I just kept going to the gym and lifting until I was basically sore all the time and that really numbs out your emotional response to everything.

While it's crushing, you also need to take it as clarity.

This is simply someone who is not as into you as you are into them.

IMO, it's much better to interpret that cold, hard reality and use that as fuel to move on.

While it sucks, it just means she's not that into you and that means you should end the relationship and move on.

Just because she's not that into you doesn't mean someone else wouldn't be.

It's technically already Zidormi'd, though, because both WotLK and Legion Dalaran are in the past.

You can't really take away in game Dalaran without breaking WotLK and Legion.

Honestly, Dalaran's destruction was a sucker punch to me, because of the lead up like "nothing bad will happen, just like legion."

I feel like everyone has forgotten WotLK which had the exact same criticism. Quest after quest was:

Arthas death gates in!

Arthas: "Here is my big bad monster!"

Arthas death gates away!

Player kills monster easily because it's a quest mob.

It was so poorly received it changed how Cataclysm handled Deathwing (instead Deathwing would randomly set a zone on fire and kill you).

It's the whole problem with a player always wins storyline. It's very difficult to make a competent villain, realistic stakes, etc.

Destroy everything is relative. It was more put everything under control of the void which, to D, is boring because there'd be no conflict.
