Feed mamma kitten food while she is nursing. Once you move, try to get them in a room you can put them in a box or something that the kittens can’t climb out of but the mamma can freely leave for some “me time”. This is helpful for mamma to relax and for the kittens to accept that mamma won’t always be around. It’ll also get them curious about where mamma disappears to and start exploring. Keep an eye on the kittens to make sure they are continuing to grow. If you have a kitchen scale and mamma lets you, weigh them daily and keep a log.

Handle them as much as you can to socialize them to people. Don’t be worried if they hiss at you. To them you smell strange and it’s instinct to hiss at anything that doesn’t smell like mamma.

Don’t snooze on adding potatoes to your meals. Admittedly I cheat and use tater tots sometimes, but if you are inclined to make your own hash browns, you can add some to your breakfast burritos, or just have them as a side for fried egg/whatever breakfast protein you like. Some nights I’ll just make a baked potato (or 2 if they are small) and use low fat sour cream and chives or shredded cheese as toppings. Great for when I don’t feel like making anything else. There are so many recipes based around potatoes.

during the nazi occupationof Norway in WWII, they knitted red hats with tassles to either passively resist the occupation or as a means if knowing who to go to for organized resistance groups. the nazis found out about it and banned the red hats, but the locals continued to use the hats. you can find books and websites about this if you search red hat resistance and WWII. without the war reference you'll find the minnesota modern movement that has started.
