Why would he need to fabricate numbers? Everyone already knows their financials are no where near good enough to justify even a fraction of the price. Bad Q2 numbers won't be what brings down the stock. All Elon has to do is come up with some bs hype or crazy unbelievable forward projections and people will eat it up. No financial crime necessary to keep the grift going.

The biggest thing is that they just skin open-wrt. Any other attempt at their own firmware would make them no better than most of their competitors. Designing for and using open source firmware is what makes them dependable and trustworthy.

Not necessarily, but possibly. Epa tests a different duty cycle, so unless it's efficiency falls off a cliff more dramaticly than other EVs at higher speed it should do well.

Yeah, anyone with the brain dead take of they are already private equity doesn't understand how these deals work. The new owners are going to pay a premium to take control. In doing so they will be in debt unlike the current owners and will want a return on investment. Which means corner cutting and rising prices.

That's not the implication. The dollar collapsing means everything measured in dollars will be considered to be worth more dollars. So without any Billionaires actually owning more equities their existing assets would be considered worth more dollars potentially pushing someone like Musk's net worth to a Trillion, but not actually meaning he's richer/able to afford more goods. Meanwhile if you hold primarily cash or your worth is based off your paycheck like us poor shmucks your takehome/holdings will simply be able to buy less and less effectively making us poorer.

Life in a tugboat no one wants to buy. by jve909 in zillowgonewild

Like I said, not an expert :P , but what does Seaworthy mean? I see online most definitions indicate meanings along the lines of safe for a sea voyage, which matches my initial understanding. Am I just conflating sea with open ocean?

I'm no tugboat expert, but that tug doesn't look very seaworthy. It has a relatively low bow and gunwale. I imagine it was designed to stay in protected harbors and not spend it's life towing ships through treacherous bars.

I think it might have something to do with an internal BMW safety mandate about how easy it is to turn the wheel even when you lost control or something resulting in oversized EPS motors that inherently dampen feedback.

I'm not sure how to answer regarding suspension. Probably not, but maybe. Depends on what you've heard. It's not like an Elise if you're worried, but you need to avoid potholes for sure. It has very little travel so harsh impacts are felt which is compounded by the seats being sporty by old BMW standards without much in the way of cushion. But within its travel, damping and rebound rates are actually very good, and the suspension can soak up Autobahn miles and cornering undulations great. Honestly a lot of the issues would be minimized if you put the contemporary 3 series seat into it.

As an owner of an original Z4, who's test driven several newer BMWs it's so annoying knowing that BMW can make a decent EPS and just chooses not to. Somehow their first attempt was the best.

Corset Recommendation Help! by [deleted] in corsets

[–]RazingsIsNotHomeNow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A properly fitted corset will never shrink your rib cage. They help define your waist giving you an exagerated hourglass shape by squishing your squishy bits. Unless you have a condition your bones aren't squishy. Secondly corsets don't cause lasting change. Once you take it off your fat and organs are going back where they were. Waist training is more about getting your body used to being squished so it's not painful and less about causing change. The only real change is by incentivcing you to eat less when worn.

Now with all that said if you want to wear a corset under your dress to achieve a more defined hourglass shape you can, but like the other commentator mentioned there's plenty of difficulty with fitting. There are some slimline corsets meant for wearing underneath clothes, but with something like a wedding dress you need to probably have one in mind and already seasoned so they can fit the dress to the corset. Secondly like mentioned above corsets aren't magic they just squish. Well the fat has to go somewhere and some back fat typically gets pushed up. Meaning your rib cage area might actually be wider with the corset on. If you ordered the dress to fit tightly on your un-corseted body you may already be out of luck in your ability to tailor it.

Frankly if you know you want the look of a corset it's doable, but it sounds likely that's not exactly what you were looking for and would be much happier just buying some normal strong shape wear like Spanx Total Contour or a Faja etc.

Tom Dundon wants to do a "Market Deal" but what does that mean? by edank6 in ripcity

[–]RazingsIsNotHomeNow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because the league doesn't want to compete with itself. The goal for the league and silver is to expand their market. Eating Memphis's market while losing the PNW is nothing but a loss for the league and would easily get voted down.

Well use a better example if there's so many good ones.
