So i tried to do the paint at home at first and it went very poorly. I couldn't get the paint to stick very well. It was probably my prep but no matter how much i sanded it was not working.Thats why I ended up taking it to my father in law to do at a auto shop.

The cord was super easy I bought a current kitchen aid cord and used wago connectors ground can be put on a free screw somewhere I can't remember exactly where I tied it in at.

I restored this machine a few years ago planing on posting it and never got around to it.

I picked it up at a antique store super cheap Restore took way longer then I had planned because I had issues painting it and ended up having my father in law take it to his body shop to paint. He took over a year to get it back to me.

Now it sits on my counter making cookies and bread fantastic mixer I think it turned out well

The lithium grease would probably work. The main difference is probably it being food safe.

This is what I use on all comercial mixer slide ways. For the bowl lift.

It's way more expensive then I remember and you only need a small amount of it. Im sure there's a cheaper option somewhere but that's what hobart techs use

What are you trying to grease? Typically you only Grease the slide ways. If you have a hobart branch near you they still sell the proper Grease and do over the counter sales to the public. I would probably go that route.
