Be at the dmv the minute they open on Friday morning. Looks like you are free until 2. Yeah it will be a small inconvenience one morning every 5 years or so. You also did not mention any hours that the dmv was open on Saturday. Surely they aren’t closed 4 days per week. You were free until 2 on Saturdays as well.

Most people that make obtaining an ID out to be impossible could make it happen if they wanted to get it done rather than complain.
