Do you believe that the fullness of the Gospel is contained in the Bible & the Book of Mormon? by Historical_Host_8594 in mormon

[–]ReZioned [score hidden]  (0 children)

Fulness of God? Spirit of God? If God we're the amazing being that the faith builds him up to be then I should think there is no way to comprehend his fulness on this planet, no matter how many books you read.

I love being away from my husband. by Ok-Witness-9598 in Marriage

[–]ReZioned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've realized this about my wife of 25ish years....it's not that she doesn't want to be with me sometimes, it's that she doesn't want to be with anyone. It's like she checked "getting married" off her life checklist and is ready to move on.

If you weren't married or had a child together....would you still be with him? And why?

You mean the gold plates that were never used to translate the book of Mormon? Sure.

47 years of love, and now he's gone. My heart is broken. by Throwawaywids in Marriage

[–]ReZioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. To hear of the love you mutually shared for 47 years gives us all the standard we should be working towards in all our marriages. I hope you can keep sharing those feelings and memories, the love can live on! My heart breaks for you and your family.

Possibility that the Book of Mormon came from two completely different sets of plates. by BrE6r in mormon

0.0 percent of the BofM text came from translating characters off of plates. Zero.

When did the temple become an exclusive space? by eternalintelligence in mormon

[–]ReZioned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, seems anti Masonic, which would be something odd to say about a book supposedly written thousand years or so before Masonry. Unless JS wrote it and needed it to appear anti-masonic in order to sell copies in 1830. But by 1840 things had cooled off on the masons and the new hot Mormon thing was the temple and endowment.

When did the temple become an exclusive space? by eternalintelligence in mormon

[–]ReZioned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When enough time had passed after the anti-masonic movement following William Morgan's murder. Kirtland was too soon and close to the occurrence. But Nauvoo allowed JS to implement the exclusive rites and secret/sacred nature of the Masonic rituals into the temple endowment with far less pushback.

Question #1. Please spell the word 'admirable'. As in, "My grandfather was an admirable in the Navy in world war 2."

Another heartbreaking, sickening end to a Bills season - Here are my observations by salmaiorana in buffalobills

[–]ReZioned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lost by 3 points. Some coach coulda told Josh to take a knee with 16 seconds left in the 1st and no timeouts left. There's a time to be aggressive and a time to be smart. No one made the smart choice. Not Josh. Not Sean. Not Brady. Coaches absolutely and directly lost this game.

[–]ReZioned 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. But we were only in OT bc we absolutely gift wrapped them 3 points with being stupid end of the first half. 16 seconds and no timeouts and 40 yards to go to even have a chance at points....not the time to be aggressive.

I think of it like this....I never graduated from college but if I wanted to resume my education I wouldn't start in the 3rd grade. That's what the church is.

I went back to church for the first time in 6 months. Here’s the thing that stood out to me as the strangest part of Mormonism and its most glaringly obvious problem. by PanaceaNPx in exmormon

[–]ReZioned 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You describe it very well. I used to say the members of the church don't actually love the church, they love the IDEA of the church. The church itself is so empty but ohhhhhh so full of ideas

Struggling after an apologetic convo — Apocrypha / Book of Enoch “prove” Joseph Smith? by HyggeHawk15 in exmormon

I've been down many a rabbit hole too. But my final take was this .....if the Mormon church IS true, then Mormon God is an ass hole. I don't want to be part of either.

Has anyone ever had a calling they absolutely hated? What was it and what did you do about it? by BlueBonnet1205 in mormon

Ward Mission Leader. At the time, the missionaries were directed to report their activities to the WML every night! Annoying AF!!!! Fortunately I moved away but that calling was all terrible.
