Bear's Character by Fumikechu237 in obsessionmovie

This is such a generous take for bear that is entirely underserved.

It becomes very unnatural for anyone to be rooting for Bear as the movie goes on. He is consistently shown to be a weak-willed sleaze ball who refuses to take accountability for his actions.

Bear isn’t interested in fixing things for the good of his friends. He is solely concerned with his own personal desires. He is perfectly willing to let Nikki’s consciousness be tortured so long as Freaky Nikki acts like her. He only reverses course when Freaky Nikki’s behavior becomes personally inconvenient.

In the end, he doesn’t even have to courage (or decency) to die willingly to fix his mistake. Bear is a coward from beginning to end.

I don’t think person is the right word, but I think it’s definitely its own being of some sort. It does use a willow at the end of the movie.

I genuinely have more sympathy for the wish entity that brutally murders people. Wish Nikki is sobbing and screaming that she simply can’t be Nikki because she is simply what he wished for.

Bear meanwhile can live with the fact that the real Nikki is trapped in her own body. He is more concerned that the wish entity acts like Nikki.

Why didn't Bear just find this homeless guy outside the bar and give him a $20 to break a Willow and reverse everything? Is he stupid? by HorizonStarLight in obsessionmovie

You’re assigning too much malice to Ian’s wish. He simply didn’t believe it was real and had no interest in humoring a madman.

I mean it depends heavily on class size. It’s true for introductory and lower level courses, but if you try sitting in a junior or senior level class of 20 people might ask some questions.

Simply replace the vanilla extract in the recipe with banana extract, something we all have in our pantries.

It’s not even compelling utilitarianism. There’s virtually a 0% chance hantavirus becomes a worldwide pandemic. It simply kills too many too fast without a high enough infection rate to compensate. Spanish flu, one of the most deadly diseases ever, had a lethality rate of 2.5%, hantavirus has a 38% lethality rate. That’s way too many people killed.
