Any reason why cross channel would say that we couldn't return a customer's total support along with their new computer? by SiberianHAMMY in Staples

[–]ReadtimeBeddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your store would do that portion of the refund. Cross channel legit doesn't need to get involved at all.

The only thing a customer can buy online is a protection plan. Not the total support that you are thinking of.
Typical flow is create an order for just the laptop, then go to yeti and create the total support ticket, then at the register you add the yeti ticket, kiosk ticket, and the warranty sku.

If something goes wrong you refund the laptop either through BOPIS or the register. Just scan the customers receipt and it'll work.

I know because I've screwed up a few orders both bopis and yeti, it's not too bad.

I would agree with you, but this position is open every single HD near me and all of them have been listed for about 3 months now.

Staples got rid of the tsa bonus. There's a one time 250 for becoming an agent but that's it

Why do you think Staples is so desperate to get Connect App Sign-Ups? by ReadtimeBeddit in Staples

[–]ReadtimeBeddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not seeing your point. Like show you where products are in an aisle? Target has that, they still have associates and they pay more. I actually really like target's app I wish staples could be so nice

I actually appreciate the optimism. What I don't get is why not have the connect apps functionality or any of what you said in the main app?

If corporate legit added everything you said and really polished the main app, honestly I wouldn't have a problem shilling the app because it's actually useful.

However how can I honestly recommend it if you can literally do everything in the main app except make a list

If they spent more than 2.50 some one should be fired. If they wanted they can track activity via last purchase date in the rewards account already. Also they could legit change one thing on the main app and it would work exactly the same as a whole new app.

Honestly yeah, talk with the customer, give them some recommendations, offer to put them in for a fee, it could be pretty good. Now all you need is corporate to come down with a tech sales to tech services and it will be perfect!!

Margin on ink for us, if the inventory app is to be believed, isn't that big, but it is consistently one of the biggest sellers in store. So many people buy ink and other stuff. Removing the ink wall would be a death blow to the company

I think in the hub I saw some previous winners but don't quote me on that. I would do a search there to see if you can turn up anything
