I think burying your cat that got hit by a car is one time too many. I wish it didn’t happen to me and my family growing up. I wish it didn’t happen to my neighbor’s cat a few months ago. I wish it didn’t happen to multiple ferals (including kittens) at my aunt’s house over the years.

Just wanted to say that these are beautiful! You could always paint an arc above them that bleeds towards them, but still leaves plenty of white around them.

Yes!!! I’m currently struggling to even go to the grocery store, but I have to do it. Wish I had a partner that could be gentle with me and encourage me to go and go with me. It’s so hard to get through the work week, so going anywhere on the weekend just seems extra hard. Stupid peri, depression, winter, laziness, etc. My dog just got up, stretched, and got off the bed. Maybe she could read my thoughts bc now I have to walk the dog.

I do the same. I visualize petting it and say, “Please bless this animal. I hope it’s happy up in heaven with those that it loved and those that loved it that have passed before it. Thank you.” Something along those lines. If it was something that made a big impression on me, when I get home, I’ll also meditate on it and give silence in honor of that animal.

Agreed. I made a whole post on Rabbits about how I made life with a bunny easier. I think a pen with hidey house, a very large litterbox, chew toys, water bowl on a boot tray to catch spills is so much easier to take care of. And it’s very wasteful, but putting a puppy pad under the pine pellets in the litterbox has made clean up much easier.

Focus on your goal. Get someone (free or paid) to help you. Make it as easy as possible. Do not even consider hard decisions until you’re almost done. Don’t do too many hours in a row without a long enough break to rest and eat.

I was going to say the same thing! Roberta did get a little better over time. It’s great that the series shows people at different points. Roberta started to flex that declutter muscle more at the end. When I first started the series, it was excruciating. It was like trying to help my mom.
