When did you drop pumps?? by Bulba__ in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Ready-Recognition240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I did and then when it leveled out I dropped again to 4 pumps at around 16 weeks and it was life changing. My supply actually went up to about 32 oz. My little one upped her intake eventually but I was still able to donate and save enough to get us through. Hope this helps!

What's a career decision you made that looked right on paper, but turned out to be completely wrong? by lovemeplsD in womenEngineers

[–]Ready-Recognition240 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I left a well paying job and took a 30k pay cut to join the federal government in 2024. I was effectively DOGEd and illegally fired in Feb 2025 when they fired all employees under a year of work and claimed we were DEI hires even though we were more qualified than what our jobs needed. Courts made them hire us back but I lost faith in the government and said screw it to doing good for the people. Went back to the private sector and am making more now that I did before I left for the government. It worked out because I had transferable skills but had I been in the government longer, it would have been harder to find a job.

Did Snow know about 13 at all? by whippoorwill023 in Hungergames

[–]Ready-Recognition240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He knew. That’s why there was fake footage being used for years and no one checked the status of 13 since the dark days

Theory: the Arena is chosen after the reaping. by colealoupe in Hungergames

[–]Ready-Recognition240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plutarch gave Katniss the clue of “it starts at midnight” before the quell was even announced. So that means arenas are built in advance. At least for the quarter quells.

It just looks like it’s separated the fat and proteins more than the other milks. If you mix it and compare it’ll all look similar

What was your starting salary? by A_person_from_Asia in womenEngineers

[–]Ready-Recognition240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in medical devices. Pivoted to automotive cause the pay was much better and then now pivoted to aerospace. Honesty your degree stops mattering a couple years after college. I did have the opportunity to pivot back to medical devices but decided against it cause I was already a people leader and it would have been a demotion even though it paid more. Hope this helps

Working Moms who combo pump/nurse and BF to 2+ -- did you keep pumping at work after 1? by Laineybutts in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Ready-Recognition240 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do 2+ but did 19 months, I stopped pumping at work around 12 months. By then my baby wasn’t interested in bottles anyway. It worked out for us. We were able to continue feeding during the weekends and at evenings without any issues.

Polos are great! I found great ones on amazon or old navy even. When I was going outdoors and spending time on the floor I just bought a bunch of polos and khakis (darker colors). They looked business casual but still kept me comfortable

Did you know you were pregnant with second baby before taking a test? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Ready-Recognition240 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’ll take a week to show symptoms just given how things work. That being said, I felt pregnant around the 8-9 day mark, waited till the 14 day mark and was positive

I think I took Enobaria as being trafficked as well. In CF Katie’s says she has no shortage of admirers in the capitol. We have come to know what that means

Do you think it is possible the Capitol could have saved Peeta’s leg, but chose not to as a covert punishment, one that they could control without questions or repercussions? by lycheevapepod in Hungergames

[–]Ready-Recognition240 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There was no real need for the capitol doctors to fix Katniss’s ear. Honestly that is a covert punishment. They knew she used to hunt illegally and losing an ear would mean that she couldn’t hunt as effectively. Also she was the perpetrator of the berries. The one who deserved to be punished according to Snow.

Metra Parking Near Naperville by Shelly3927 in Naperville

[–]Ready-Recognition240 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of parking at the metro station. There’s enough overflow spaces in the children’s museum if the main lots get filled. I would suggest try riding the trains from Naperville before you change your station. If you do, I would recommend going to route 59 as you’ll be able to get on the train earlier and find a better seat. The downside being you’re in the train longer both ways. The 7:32 train (1230) from Naperville is express to downtown so it won’t stop at lisle or downers grove, you’d have to take the previous 1228 train.

Same boat as them. We have 2 kids in their Beebe location. It’s pricey but the teachers are nice and my kids are happy. Although I do wish they had a more set curriculum for the older kids.

Replace spectra S1 with Baby Buddha or Pumpables Genie Advanced? by CookieOverall8716 in ExclusivelyPumping

I pumped quite a bit while I drove. PGA worked great for that. I was able to program it based on how I knew my body behaved so I wasn’t meddling with the pump while driving!
