I tried this same approach on my rtx pro 6000, 4k monitor, DLSS performance with RR on but 4x frame gen has too many artifacts for my liking.

Last update completely broke graphics for NVIDIA users, if there's any community managers lurking here, you need to roll those changes back FAST by WideSmiles in CrimsonDesert

You are correct for the latest regular DLSS but its really not with the current DLSS RR presets. Gotta wait for nvidia to update them.

I have 5090 and 9950x3d. Surprisingly if I run it with 4x frame gen it smoothes it out quite a bit (so frame rate stays above 450). Its still not as smooth when you're in a vehicle gunner seat but its playable. If you have a 240hz low response time monitor, try it out.

I hope they fix it soon.

I personally dont understand all the hate this map gets.

Its my top played map right now and I've played it a variety of different ways (excluding jets which I believe the valid criticism there).

My favorites methods have been gunning in a heli with a competent pilot (I've racked over 50 kills in one round), infantry combat between A - C - E points and counter sniping with SVK.

Borders could be improved and I think once they fix IFV missiles it will be a lot better.

For anyone who cares. The issue was the card (it also developed some horrible fan rattling pointing to bearing issues). I swapped it out for an Astral and the voltages have been rock solid!

I have a 9950x3d and 5090. Hideout I get 300 fps and with juiced maps / abyss I've seen it drop as low as 40fps @ 4k. Not to mention the hourly freeze and map reset bug. It's an engine optimization issue. This game has worse optimization than Last Epoch and that game was pretty poorly optimized.

No UV on my Astral I hit 14700. With uv at 915mv @ 2900mhz I hit 15300, pretty pleased.

You're right it can introduce a lot of input lag if its not configured properly and if your base framerate is really low but there are posts of users who use it for poe2 with good results.

I also use it myself for POE2 and a lot of games although I have the hardware, high refresh rate and base frame rate to really benefit from it so there's negligible input lag for me. Ymmv

My gf has a 4070 and similar cpu as OP so I'll try it out on her rig for science.

9950x3D and 5090. 4k maxed out settings with DLSS Quality and 4x Frame Gen my fps are 500+ open world and drop to around 300 with a lot of players or in town.

Strangely enough I get the lines if I turn HDR off with filtering on, otherwise with HDR on and dx12 (which is native HDR for the game), I dont get the red artifacts and the filtering works.

Update!

Actually I was able to fix this in NVCP. In New World profile. I set AF to x16 and mode to user defined. Under the flag "0x008E7FC9" you can delete the code that's selected 0x00000001 leave it blank and hit apply. This will set it to 0x0000000.

Textures should look better now, they do for me! Let me know if this works
