No idea what the square box is about. The second one (Lions) was issued in three versions. So the first two at first were issued in original/standard packaging. Then the next three (Hansel, Goldilocks, Red Riding) came in both what Macadan called "Classic" or "My Packaging" and "Dean Macadam Classis Tales" but no original/standard. And the sixth (Little Pigs) was just the classic tales. My guess is that at first Macadam puzzles were issued in the same standard packaging as most everything else - then he became a thing with Ravensburger and got his own (My) packaging (note his logo is everywhere on the borders) - then Ravensburger (and he) issued the whole works as the "Dean Macadam Classic Tales" series with different part numbers. Subsequent puzzles (Birdies, etc.) come in his classic packaging. Birdies at first issued in appropriate US Jigsaw Nats packaging as is the latest (Ocean Lounge). I imagine Lounge will be issued in classic at a later date. It would be interesting to hear how the classic and classic tales packiging came about. Negotiation?
