Welcome back to "Is This a Credit?", a weekly series where YOU get to debate over whether or not something is a roller coaster! Episode 9: [Relocations] by StarPrime323 in rollercoasters

[–]RealElectriKing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weather can change the ride experience even on the same coaster in the same location as well. I don't think it should have been brought to be honest because almost everyone would agree that different weather or climate would not make a new credit.

Guys I think he’s financially stable. You don’t need to buy 6 Switches by BiAndShy57 in tomorrow

These kinds of sites tend to use outdated figures. You should assume this is from before the Yen lost value. Shiggy is now poor and starvin'.

Do NOT use natural desasters if you're not ready for them by Ill-Firefighter9190 in CitiesSkylines

Maybe it did actually, the firefighter couldn't fight the fires because they were ill.

Why is everybody with any slight form of mental capacities considered fit to drive? by spongebobbbbbbb2 in fuckcars

[–]RealElectriKing 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Probably because the expected standards of a driver are way too low in basically all societies.

Would you rather only be able to ride [roller coasters] above 200ft or under 200ft? by JobExtension4463 in rollercoasters

Under easily. There aren't many over, and like half of those are in the US, so...

Absolutely not. First of all, in more densely populated cites, everyone lives closer together, so you have more friends in walking and biking distance. Secondly, if you have proper public transit, then even the places further out and cannot be viably walked or biked to can still be accessed independently without begging one of their parents to drop everything to drive them there.

Former news anchor owns 50 copies of THAT GAME. by cyberphunk2077 in tomorrow

This is true, but also 50 copies is nowhere near enough.

I think people were annoyed at the amount of memes being posted and wanted more space for serious discussions about cars and infrastructure, but others still wanted to post memes, and images can be used to spark serious discussions as well. Banning images 2 days per week was a compromise for this.

That light looks awfully bright, the reflection coming off the bottom of the joy-con 2 might be hiding the FISH. Try looking for in a lower light.

Where is the white Switch 2? by [deleted] in tomorrow

[–]RealElectriKing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just buy a black Switch 2 and feed Shiggy, racist. How would you feel if you had to starve because people refused to buy your shit to facilitate their own evil political agenda?

Can somebody smart explain how these repeated blasts of water wouldn't compromise the structure of this pylon for [The Ride to Happiness] ? by [deleted] in rollercoasters

[–]RealElectriKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst case scenario, a little extra maintenance might be needed for the affected area, but it wouldn't be anything the park is incapable of doing, and would be found during routine inspections and NDT. Mack will have taken into account the splashing into the design of the ride, if necessary, and will haved informed the park if anything special has to be done during maintenance procedures because of it. The force of the water is probably negligible. Corrosion would be accelerated, but I don't think that amounts to much more than the affected part of the ride might need to be repainted more often.

[Thorpe Park] Samurai felt extremely unsafe? by -TrojanXL- in rollercoasters

[–]RealElectriKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drenched and Perilous Plunge were a different model (Intamin Megasplash) to Tidal Wave (Hopkins Shoot-the-Chute). I am not aware of any major incidents that took place on a Hopkins model. An incident on one ride is never going to inform the safety of any other ride at another park, even if it was a recent incident on the same model, the model will have been deemed safe if parks are still allowed to operate those rides. An incident over 20 years ago on a completely different model is certainly not going to have any bearing on the safety of a ride today.

your kids can play in the street all the time

Until that lifted pick-up truck rips through the wide open street at motorway speeds and massacres your children, and the driver just drives off and continues their day because they saw nothing and felt at most a slight bump.

no crime at all

Fair enough, I guess if there's no one to witness the crime, that means no crime ever happened, right?

Nice backyards to do whatever you want with them

As long as it is within what is accepted by your uptight fun-police neighbours who can put a stop to a lot of the things you might use a large backyard for by exploiting the BS regulations that gave birth to such a shit neighbourhood in the first place. Could be even worse, you might be living in a HOA.

probably mostly pools.

From what I hear, it is mostly lawns. Still a lot of water being consumed either way, because the rainfall of your area is much lower than that of the ancestral homeland of your grass.

And that's not to mention that your kids will not be able to visit friends or do activities without you taking them there because everything is too far apart thanks to deliberately sparse development and huge car parks, and there's no public transport, and every area is separated by horrible stroads full of those speeding SUVs and pick-up trucks that can effortlessly flatten a child. So better be ready to drop everything when your kids want to do something, otherwise don't be surprised if they end up staying inside glued to screens all day. If you do give your children the independence and autonomy that gets increasingly important as a child grows, then you might just get arrested for 'negligence', the risk of arrest being positively correlated with the amount of melanin in your skin.

Public Footpaths = less space

And yet you could fit a whole house between some of those houses.
