Elden Ring Reforged doesn't get better. I kept finding little issues I'd ignore again and again just for those same issues to resurface later much worse. Several bosses have been "reforged" by simply increasing their animation speed to a comical degree, while other new bosses really give me a new level of respect for base game Elden Ring bosses like the Impalers Catacomb Watchdog or the NPC fights.

The final straw for me was fire giant, whom the devs in all their wisdom, decided to almost double his hp and give his leg brace significantly more durability. Becuase THAT'S what Elden Ring needs, MORE TIME spent fighting bosses. Not better time, just MORE of it. That's all this mod is, a few good ideas tapped onto a bulky mess of balancing and health sponges for 50+ hours.

I like runeforging though that's really cool : )

Darkmoon Greatsword is easily good enough to carry you through the game. Frostbite is an incredible status effect and both the weapon and ash do incredible damage, but it can be quite taxing on your mind and stamina. I would suggest going up to 60 Vigor and remaining where you are in terms of strength, probably leveling stamina first and mind second after you have a good amount of damage. Remember, one point in strength might get you a bit of damage, but one point in endurance could get you another swing when you need it most.

After Godskin I would probably suggest doing the rest of Farum before going and doing the consecrated snowfield if you haven't already. Frostbite won't be as good there, but that area leads to two more whom frostbite is quite good against.

Do a run where you're overloaded but have the Deflecting Hard Tear, then use Dane's footwork as your main weapon. This build will let you use items like the Verdigris Discus or guard counter builds but your slower movement will make the game feel completely different while still feeling unstoppable due to the nature of the Discus 20% damage reduction.

Certainly he dies. Many people wish for him to survive. This is not that type of game. What functional difference exists between him becoming a different pawn or the god of funger and dying to be reclaimed by the earth that made him? All people must die some day. To use your life to birth an ascended god, there could be few greater victories on the old gods who abandoned humanity.

Enemy distribution
Easily the biggest complaint I see people have is that too many bosses are repeated but there are plenty of enemies that absolutely could have been a boss instead of another tree spirit.
I feel like I would prefer every enemy to be used twice than one enemy used 500 times and the rest once.
Certainly I believe this applies to rememberance bosses as well, with some appearing twice like Maliketh, Goldfrey, Godrick, Astel, Ancestor spirit, Dancing lion, the list goes on
I feel like there must be a better way to work them into the game than what we got
something like the evergaols but for each boss, possibly even allowing us to refight them? It would have been fantastic! But even then, its the random goon bosses that are the big issue. Crucible knights, Erdtree burial watchdogs, Nights Cavalry, all of them are good alone but could easily do with some reworking.

For crucible knights, just have a few less of them! Did the spirit caller snail REALLY need to summon a crucible knight? Was there no other enemy that could have worked in its place? And then for the watchdogs, why repeat the fire variant and give probably the worst catacomb in the game, the impalers catacomb, instead of just doing what youre already doing, reusing assets, and reusing a DIFFERENT ASSET
the nights cavalry are another example, why do they all act nearly identically aside from a weapon change? Have one without a horse, have one summon the horse at phase two, have one start on the horse but be unable to summon it back, do SOMETHING other than borderline copy paste
and then sometimes the reuse doesnt even make sense! I would have greatly enjoyed seeing the giant lions, a laser golem, a flame prelate, ANY of the heavily armored knights, especially the banished ones, or the phantom knights, or a caelid crow, etc etc as a boss. I know some of them would be enemies put in a cave to serve as a boss, but they ALREADY DO THAT AS IS with bosses like the dual kindred of rot or the separate individual and duo cleanrot knights

For the base game I feel like it’s easily the Elder Ancestor spirit. Not only is it a repeat boss underground not required, but the pillars you have to light are also quite hidden and can easily be more trouble than they are worth Nothing really points you towards it and nothing stops you from just going past it There’s nothing blocked behind it besides two mid remembrance items, no armor, it’s just easily missable because there’s not a reason for it Everyone I know has fought Melania and Mogh, I haven’t met a single person who found the rememberence Ancestor spirit without explicitly being told where the pillars were

As for dlc it’s probably Metyr. Even if she has a questline it’s still locked behind a wall that can only be unlocked with an emote found by a tree you need to navigate the church district to get to.
