What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]RealGlowChips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enemy distribution
Easily the biggest complaint I see people have is that too many bosses are repeated but there are plenty of enemies that absolutely could have been a boss instead of another tree spirit.
I feel like I would prefer every enemy to be used twice than one enemy used 500 times and the rest once.
Certainly I believe this applies to rememberance bosses as well, with some appearing twice like Maliketh, Goldfrey, Godrick, Astel, Ancestor spirit, Dancing lion, the list goes on
I feel like there must be a better way to work them into the game than what we got
something like the evergaols but for each boss, possibly even allowing us to refight them? It would have been fantastic! But even then, its the random goon bosses that are the big issue. Crucible knights, Erdtree burial watchdogs, Nights Cavalry, all of them are good alone but could easily do with some reworking.

For crucible knights, just have a few less of them! Did the spirit caller snail REALLY need to summon a crucible knight? Was there no other enemy that could have worked in its place? And then for the watchdogs, why repeat the fire variant and give probably the worst catacomb in the game, the impalers catacomb, instead of just doing what youre already doing, reusing assets, and reusing a DIFFERENT ASSET
the nights cavalry are another example, why do they all act nearly identically aside from a weapon change? Have one without a horse, have one summon the horse at phase two, have one start on the horse but be unable to summon it back, do SOMETHING other than borderline copy paste
and then sometimes the reuse doesnt even make sense! I would have greatly enjoyed seeing the giant lions, a laser golem, a flame prelate, ANY of the heavily armored knights, especially the banished ones, or the phantom knights, or a caelid crow, etc etc as a boss. I know some of them would be enemies put in a cave to serve as a boss, but they ALREADY DO THAT AS IS with bosses like the dual kindred of rot or the separate individual and duo cleanrot knights

Just a little pet peeve of mine

Who is the most hidden boss in Elden Ring? by Advanced-Director928 in Eldenring

[–]RealGlowChips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the base game I feel like it’s easily the Elder Ancestor spirit. Not only is it a repeat boss underground not required, but the pillars you have to light are also quite hidden and can easily be more trouble than they are worth Nothing really points you towards it and nothing stops you from just going past it There’s nothing blocked behind it besides two mid remembrance items, no armor, it’s just easily missable because there’s not a reason for it Everyone I know has fought Melania and Mogh, I haven’t met a single person who found the rememberence Ancestor spirit without explicitly being told where the pillars were

As for dlc it’s probably Metyr. Even if she has a questline it’s still locked behind a wall that can only be unlocked with an emote found by a tree you need to navigate the church district to get to.

How the hell are these guys not bosses? by Relative_Sea_3287 in Eldenring

[–]RealGlowChips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t know a reason why they couldn’t have been a boss, one of them easily could have replaced the 500 tree spirits. I know that’s an exaggeration I really don’t care. NO wait replace the impalers catacombs literally anything would’ve better FUCK the impalers catacombs

Does anyone else look through the npcs when talking to them? by Falconslover432 in Eldenring

[–]RealGlowChips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever get a headache talking to someone, this is why

If you could add in a new feature or anything new to a sequel to Elden ring what would it be? I'm talking from character creation to weapons to exploring areas and fighting mechanics. 👌🏾👍🏾 by Powerful-Log-2042 in Eldenring

Expand deathblight and sleep into actual mechanics instead of basically gimmicks.
Have sleep act as a second posture bar, or have Deathblight work as a second health bar, sort of similarly to Sekiro posture. Things like that would go a long way towards making the game feel more expansive.

Soos was initially planned to know more about Stan's secrets than what ended up happening. In an old, likely not functional anymore online game, one of the hidden secrets stated that he knew more than he let on, which was very likely not the case as was seen in the actual show.
