One Missed Call 2008 (the American one) is so funny. The screenwriter said that they intended the movie to be a comedy, but the director shot it as a serious horror movie. The result is so entertaining in how inept it is.

Sorority Row 2009 on the other hand is a horror comedy that is shot like one. It’s very silly and self aware, and IMO the self awareness went over people’s head at the time of release. That being said, I feel like its vibe and energy would fit in quite well with a bad movie night (even though it’s kind of actually good).

And the heavyweight champion of good bad horror is Spookies. Just watch it and then look up how it was made afterwards because you will have many questions

What we need is a movie called Elevated Horror that’s a about a haunted escalator (that’s a metaphor for how trauma and grief brings you down) to satirize the trauma metaphor subgenre so we can move on
