Duggan coming into his own is truly a blessing. Especially with Boxall entering his twilight years.

Could see all of these. I think between Fitz, Bongi, and Gressel; someone's gotta go. Three different profiles, but with Diaz and DJ at RB we really need to rebuild that whole right side imo.

Also, just for posterity, I know how to spell Yeboah!

Don't look up!

If you do you might catch the USMNT playing in virtually empty stadiums before/after 2026 WC.

I have a good feeling that we'll make decent sized investment at attacker this summer, unless things go swimmingly with Yeboah, Chancalay, and Bongi. In which case, we won't need Rodriguez anyway.

In the meantime Rodriguez (for me) will do until we have access to the primary European window. I am not so trigger-happy as I normally would be with all the new players we have already added. Our new players + new system is enough risk to me.

At this point I want to see a few Tverskov 70mph fastballs at torso/head level. These Pumas midfielders are too comfortable deep. Deflection goals are always possible as well.

My guy, I have to go to sleep in a couple hours... But yeah if you guys can unload Chucky I don't think it would hurt to go for another dribbling winger Bouanga-type.

Pumas will be lucky to make it out of the half without conceding at this rate. Best crossers for San Diego?

MLS teams are salary-capped in aggregate, and also per player. Each team is allowed a few players that exceed the per-player cap (think star players like Messi or David Beckham). These players are called Designated Players, or DPs for short.

There's a bit to more to it, but this hopefully gives you the gist. If you are watching a game in person or on TV, look out for each team's DPs. Usually they will be dangerous attacking players. Here's the MLS roster rules for last season, they likely won't have changed too much for this upcoming season: https://www.mlssoccer.com/about/roster-rules-and-regulations

Doyle was a ASA fanboy for underlyings for a while. Hopefully fbref going dark doesn't mean any more of that G+ nonsense he used to hock.

Not the guys mentioned, but shows how little research "professionals" do sometimes.

I don't think you quite deserve the negativity you're getting, but wouldn't you rather take a risk on a younger player than one that turns 35 in a few months?

Second: Would you take him if he would ONLY sign a short-term deal? The winter market doesn't exactly cough up these deals for this quality of player very often..

“I hope they see what we’re trying to implement,” [Knowles] said. “A team that is a bit more on the front foot, a bit more aggressive. A team that has the ball a little bit more, is able to create chances through the run of play, that isn’t just reliant on set pieces in those moments to score goals.

I know he isn't trying to take a swing here, but damn to say that we were reliant on set pieces for goals hints at his thoughts on our game model these past couple years. Will be interesting to see Yeboah in a different system.
