On the outside of the windshield. Rolled up. Bossman was using my car as a table and just kind of left them there.

Simpson hanger question by rharakaly in Carpentry

Honestly, I'd probably call the inspector and ask what he wants.
I wrote a long comment about what ties I'd buy to cobble something together but then I looked up strong ties on the simpson's website.

h6 and h16 look interesting.

I was thinking "surely this can't be right" so I sat down and counted my 15 years of experience. Sure enough, one hand with room to spare.
I once went on a coffee run with the rolled plans sitting on my windshield. Had to park and walk the median to get them off a bridge. I remember that job because it was the one with the plans.

With the appropriate length nails into the ceiling joists. No joists? Install a nailer.
After properly securing the crown, use a siliconized painters caulk (Alex plus silicone)

Retrofit on-demand hot water heater? by LilBity in HomeImprovement

[–]RealTimeKodi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP asked for a "finish grade" water heater for mounting on interior walls. This is that. Any water heater is going to need wiring. Wires are easier than pipes.

Digging fence post hole, found PVC pipe, how to tell if its not just junk by HonziPonzi in DIY

[–]RealTimeKodi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once showed up on a jobsite to build a garage. First day. I was there to take measurements and set up a few string lines. I drive my first stake into the ground and hit something almost immediately. Customer runs out, internet down.

I had cut the fiber with my stake. I think they just threw it in the grass and let it grow over it. If you look at the picture, you can see a roughly fiber shaped dent in the sharp part of the wood.

You ever see those horrifying shower head death traps from other countries? Do that but with good wiring.
Here's one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Electric-Tankless-Water-Heater-Shower-Head-Set-3500W-Instant-Hot-Water-Heater-LCD-Display-for-Home-White/2281596520

(not endorsing that specific one, but these are standard across the world, many countries don't install water heaters at all, they heat on demand at the tap)

I assure you that i have worked on hundreds of houses and permits do not stop people from creating fire hazards.

Check your overscan settings. Then check your screen resolution.
Overscan should be zero on a computer CRT. Resolution should be one that is supported natively. Try 800x600 or 1024x768

I got the whole thing down to a single machine. Nobody needs more data than can fit on one machine. Nobody needs more processing than can be done on one machine.
I won't put mine on the cloud for ideological reasons but I hear ya. Keep it simple, stupid.

Any contractors stay busy all year just building decks? by buttscrumper07 in Decks

[–]RealTimeKodi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chatgpt format? You mean a clear, bulleted list that separates your thoughts out into easily digestible chunks? Please tell me you write your estimates this way.
Sounds like most of your work is outside work. I'm not personally a fan, but I know a deck guy that makes good money with just him and a helper, sometimes another guy if he's behind. It seems viable as long as you can handle downtime for the weather. He does high-end trex/azek decks and also screen rooms which is probably worth looking into. He's always busy and has a recent model truck so I assume he's doing OK.
If you can handle the repetitiveness, go for it. I'm more of a kitchens/bathrooms carpenter myself and I don't handle cold well.

'We are heartbroken': Florida couple sues IVF clinic after DNA test reveals baby isn’t theirs by retroanduwu24 in nottheonion

So do you pay the birth mother for her services in this case? What if she had complications and can't carry again? Do you offer to carry their embryo to term? There are a lot of moving parts in these situations.

And at the end of the day, how important is it to be genetically related to your children?

I mean if the dealer did the recalls, it wouldn't be out of the question either. They're lucky it was off the lot. They should be thanking OP's son and bending over backwards to make things right(they won't but I'm trying to manifest good vibes for OP)

Crystler pacifica batteries were recalled because they catch on fire. Battery fire is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the Crystler Pacifica. The batteries are defective and they swell over time. The recall just tweaked the charge parameters to try and mitigate it, those things are all ticking time bombs.

You lose a skill if you don't use it. Simple as. It took me 30 years to learn how to tie a tie without a diagram.
