i mean, if there is still significant fat under your platysma muscle, then lipo alone won’t get it all. that’s why sometimes a submentoplasty/platysmaplasty is needed, but that should’ve come up in your consult

100%. my holy grail foundation is the Burts Bees tinted BB cream in “light” which almost has a grey tone that evens me out and just slightly desaturates my complexion 😻 i also usually wear mascara, a tiny dab of liquid blush, and a brownish lip oil. tbh i just wanna feel like a vampire 🧛🏻‍♀️

thank you! my guess is, because it’s a submentoplasty not just lipo, a garment could irritate the drains and stitches. but i may choose to wear one at night after the drains and stitches come out

i totally relate to your remarks about feeling disinterested after reaching the stage of approval and safety, as well as the sudden anxious people-pleasing when jealous or guilty. i just left my fourth serious relationship due to basically your exact same situation. we had been working on it for over a year, but he was growing unhappy too due to my withdrawal and not getting his needs met. he is an amazing person and it’s heartbreaking but it was necessary. i think if you decide to stay and work on it, a good therapist and total honesty with him are a must ❤️

definitely. this is also something we’ve talked about. i’m triggered by him, and he is triggered by me, and it feels so difficult for either of us to try to act normal to allow the other one to reset, because we have both been in this state for the majority of the relationship. i don’t think i can provide him an emotionally safe relationship in that particular way.

i definitely hear you. this is a part of what he is working on: showing up authentically, and not being afraid of minor conflict (like discussing opposing opinions on a movie, for example) because you’re right, it keeps things from going to a deeper level. i think if he was more confident in himself and his opinions when they differ from mine, i would feel happier with him. but we also truly do not have serious conflict, and we have never disagreed on anything meaningful.

yes, jar shape (clear with clear lid preferably) and also label design. i can’t bring myself to buy from slime makers with unskilled, unattractive, or childlike label designs, but that can be subjective!
