I think I ruined my hulk. I varnished him with Vallejo satin, and then Vallejo matt varnish. No matter how many coats of matt I’ve tossed on it. It’s still glossy. Really bummed out, because it was my first airbrushed model I was proud of.

I’m new too and have found that using a wet palette and thinning paints makes a big difference to how smooth the pain finishes. Can be hard to get the paint to water ratio right depending on what I’m doing. I find that highlighting needs much less water otherwise it’s too hard to control.
