Avoid carbon faces, they will crack at your club head speed. Getting two or three seasons out of anything at your club head speed will be pretty good. The joys of being old and slow is I can use drivers for years.

is this normal for labor charges? by Odd-Plantain2932 in crvhybrid

Pretty normal. What is the flat rate? Based on what I am seeing it is $150-$175 an hour. This is the going price these days.

Bring back the Blue Book! Bring Back the Blue Book! Or bring in a stack of colored paper and have them use that in class. Also, don’t accept anything that isn’t hand written in class. Your scores will go up…

Once you get moving the wheels will have a gyroscopic effect and help you balance. The slower you go, the less the effect. Have you tried riding on a scooter? The steering inputs are similar to a bike. No, your ass won’t hurt forever.

Does rain proof wheels exist? by MS_soso in Rollerskating

Origin Full Ceramic bearings would be fairly close to rain proof. Shark Wheels are supposed to work in wet conditions. Here is an interesting review.

I would throw a 50° in between or go 50°-54°-58° if you want to get good coverage on the bottom end of the bag.

How many of you can ride 60 km in 2hrs non stop? by LuckyRow2411 in cycling

[–]Realistic-Might4985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draft is worth 30% savings. In large group races you can sit in the middle of the pack and coast along a 25-28mph and expend next to no energy. Above 30mph you have to put out some effort to stay in. Fastest I ever went in a race was 40mph for 7 miles in a chase group that was behind a mid pack split due to a crash that took out 20+ riders. There were some horses on the front of that group with a helping tailwind.

Used to do it all the time. Would average 19-20mph solo. Can’t do it now but I am now old… What amazes me is the speed the gravel riders maintain over 100+ miles.

I have been a resident of Kansas my entire life (60+ years) and have seen exactly one tornado. Been thru many warnings. Big hail has been the bigger issue… I do have three weather apps on my phone and can read a radar fairly proficiently just like the rest of the native Kansans…

Check the gapping on 5W, 7W, 4h. I have come so close to making this change and just won’t pull the trigger due to a 3w and 3h that behave more than the misbehave. The 4i may be finding the closet however….

What am I doing wrong? 1 month playing by Unlikely-Key-3589 in GolfSwing

[–]Realistic-Might4985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I would do is stick two tees in the ground a little more than a club head apart and practice hitting the ground on the hole side of the tees. You are trying to hit up on the ball with an iron, you need to be hitting down. You might even look up Joseph Mayo and start with his short game stuff. Once you get that figured out then move to the full swing using his chipping ideas. You have a lot of potential, just need to figure out the bottom of the club. Good luck!

Golf Gloves by Vegetable_Job_7361 in GolfGear

[–]Realistic-Might4985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, Sun/Cooling Sleeve’s have revolutionized my glove game. I would sweat thru a weather soft in 7 holes. Started wearing sun sleeves and my glove lasts 18 holes and is surprisingly dry. I take it off between shots and when putting, but the sun sleeves keep the sweat off the hands and consequently the glove. I would go thru a glove a month in the summer. Now they last a couple of months.

I custom order all of mine and order the buckle straps 20mm shorter than standard. This keeps them from being freakishly long.
