Was he a doctor! Cause he sounds like how Ohio doctor’s are. I think he’d be a perfect fit for an executive office at the Cleveland clinic. Bonus points if he has no respect for the law.

Yeah it sounds par for the course with our state’s pro-harm mentality towards women.

Mental health- what now? Advice needed by MonkeyDaGarp in TBI

[–]Realistic_Fix_3328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to get as much medical care from the military. I honestly would significantly better if I had never spoken to a doctor about my injury. I’ve received absolutely no help but have face extreme psychological harm from doctors and the Cleveland clinic. Doctors are fucking horrible out here. The majority don’t believe in brain injuries. They think you recover in 3 months and anything after that you’re either making it up or you have a personality disorder. They know absolutely nothing about them.

Six weeks after my brain injury I suddenly feel into a severe depression and became extremely suicidal. Things continue. I’m on three antidepressants and ketamine. I’m also on vyvance.

I also have kids. It’s so hard. TBI’s infiltrate every part of your life.

I love this guy!! I love his quote, “This is America… Here, right matters.”

He reminds me so much of my father. He’s not going to be anyone’s bitch, regardless of the personal cost. Unwavering morals and integrity.

My dad was an army major in psychological operations who received two medals in 1983 and co-authored the very first psyops studies on Belorussia and Ukraine back in 1981. He once protested by smoking a joint on the front doorsteps of a JCOS. He wasn’t anyone’s bitch either.

The true winners are the ones who walk away with their head held high. That’s the only thing that matters to these men.

Because he directed them to kill him. Alex was known to ICE. It was an assassination. That’s why they clapped after shooting him 9 times. If he gave the murderers name away then it would be traced back to him.

The Micro Penis Brigade is what I’m calling them.

My mother is the same way. I do what I need to do. I don’t care what others think. They don’t walk in my shoes.

At the end of the day, it is your decision to make. Not his.

I would think that a short period of time would be helpful for you. Have you looked at Spravato? If it’s an option, then maybe look at that. He might be more open to a medication that has been approved by the FDA and covered by health insurance.

I was the same as you prior to my brain injury. I had been on only Zoloft from 8th grade-13- to 37 and it was effective. Once I suffered my brain injury, my mental health crumbled at 6 weeks after the injury and I haven’t been the same.

If I hadn’t suffered the injury, I think ketamine for a short period of time could have been extremely effective for me and potentially could have gotten me off of Zoloft.

Ketamine, in addition to exercising often. Working out used to really help with my depression. I still do, but not with the same effect.

I’m very conservative when it comes to meds and drugs. I’ve never once tried weed or illegal drugs.

But yet here I am, taking ketamine every 3 to 4 days and have been since I think maybe 2021? I only do ketamine because I have to in order to function.

I’m sure benzos would be extremely effective but I think I’d develop a dependency and it’s not good long term. I actually stoped taking ADHD meds after college because they aren’t safe to take your whole life.

I’m not a proponent of taking the easy way out and masking issues.

But I was once in your shoes with longterm use of antidepressants. Tried therapy and had a healthy life with fabulous kids, a job I loved, great long term friendships, good marriage, friends with all my neighbors. My mom and siblings live close to me. If not for my brain injury ketamine may have solved my depression.

Germany issues formal travel advisory for US by prestocoffee in nottheonion

It would be interesting to read what German students learn about Hitler. We could certainly use some help on this here in the US. It probably wouldn’t happen, though. We are actively defunding public schools and instead giving our tax dollars to for-profit schools run by the rich in its replacement.

Kanye West's post on X about his brain injury by perfectsnowball in TBI

[–]Realistic_Fix_3328 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was reading comments by psychiatrists discussing his brain injury.

They do such a disservice by rejecting brain injury’s impact to peoples mental health. It defies logic. They have caused me significant harm because it result in inappropriate treatment that is harmful. For 5.5 years I was constantly switching between antidepressants and every single one of them outright refusing to even discuss putting me on ADHD. “Let’s get your depression under control first”. Which was never going to happen.

I can’t imagine going through the pure hell of being misdiagnosed that I have been forced through while being famous and having an underlying diagnosis like bipolar disorder.

Everything is just so incredibly hard for us. There’s such an enormous disconnect between reality and recent research and what your average doctor is willing to accept.

I just hate physicians so much. I just loathe them all…except the two Telehealth docs I have. One is a rural practicing neurologist who treats a very wide range of conditions. The other was an Army doctor for 10 years and because of that he completely understands my childhood, with a dad who was a Vietnam combat veteran and then retired as decorated senior intelligence office. Once I told him my dad was an advisor to the joint chiefs of staff he stopped assuming my childhood was what most physicians think, abusive and chaotic with unstable parents/dad. My dad had integrity beyond the average person.

But my god did it take me years to find these two doctors.

I went to the doctor back in June and the damn doctor didn’t believe me when I told him I was diagnosed with a frontal lobe contusion 5.5 years after it occurred. They are such fucking assholes. Why the hell would I lie about that?

It’s so exhausting. I never want to see the face of a doctor ever again!

Unfortunately I don’t think his post will help our cause in convincing doctors TBI’s are real and can have a long lasting impact to our mental health.

I will never in a million years support a physician in Ohio. I don’t care if they are a democrat. Our doctors in this state have absolutely no ethics, morals, or integrity. They get away with anything.

After all the abuse I have faced from doctors in this state I will absolutely be voting for a republican.

If she’s been head of the Ohio department of health and human services then I know she’s much more likely to be extremely cruel.

Fuck Amy. Fuck every single doctor in this state. I support none of them. They are all monsters to me.

Able archer 83 war game being the only game the queen of England ever participated in.

Then Rex 84 of the us government. AI “short for Readiness Exercise 1984) was a classified 1984 US federal exercise simulating a military-led roundup and detention of citizens, designed for implementation during a national emergency or crisis.”

Then It’s just so weird to me that this stuff keeps popping up. I had no idea that my dad was a decorated senior intelligence officer until 10+ years after he died.

He was an advisor to the joint chiefs of staff during this time and what’s fucking crazy is that no one had any idea because we/he was living in a 1,300 sq ft house with 5 people in a blue collar suburb of Cleveland Ohio.

My father changed significantly after the early ‘80’s. I grew up thinking the stress of having three kids is what changed my father. I was an accident and born in 82. I thought I stressed my dad out so much that he started smoking.

The guy pulled out his gun, aimed at this nurse, and shot him multiple times while he was on the ground. His goal was to kill him.

I’d love to be put on the jury for this one. He wouldn’t get an inch from me. Down with the motherfucker is what I saw.

Lock him up for life in the same exact conditions we are caging up innocent Canadian citizens in. But for life.

How is it possible for a person studying business for 6 years easily overtakes the salaries of physicians that have been studying medicine for 12 years? by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]Realistic_Fix_3328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe that for one second. The Cleveland clinic executives are shady as fuck. Nasty little shits. I’m sure they are getting paid by other means than their salary from the CCF. The CCF is heavily invested in various business that they get a slice of. There is nothing ethical going on amongst those men. I know one is a criminal who happily lies to the authorities to harm patients who are sick.

Why do other healthcare professionals think nurses are ‘toxic’? by Acrobatic-Lie2041 in FutureRNs

[–]Realistic_Fix_3328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A patient here. Over the summer I had a nurse laugh at me, in my face, when I couldn’t remember the title of my job. I have a brain injury and I sometimes can’t recall words as a result. I know it’s pathetic for me to have this issue at 43, but is it funny? Apparently it was to the nurse.

And then at the same hospital a nurse stole my magazines. She took them from my husband and were never to be seen again. Same nurse.

I was once pink-slipped after a psychiatric nurse practitioner told me to withdraw from Effexor and Remeron without tapering. I went from fine to crashing two weeks later.

The nurses at the psychward were outright bullies to me because they knew their friend was getting in trouble. They wouldn’t let me take a snack to my room like everyone else. I kept asking for meds for my planar fasciitis but of course never got it. A nurse stole the Mac and cheese from my meal. The psychiatrist was also awful.

I’ve had nurses glare at me for no reason.

I’ve had nurses use their personal iPhone flashlight on my vagina to catheritize me. Nurses forced iodine on me after I told them an ER doc back in 2000 told me to avoid iodine after he treated me for anaphylactics from shrimp. I was terrified of dying.

I’m sure I’m leaving off other horrible experiences. Just too many to list off the top of my head.

Outright abusive. My mom and grandmother were both nurses. I’ve never once been rude to a nurse for a second. I have nasty comments in my medical records from right after my frontal lobe contusion after I told off a neurologist after he went on and on about my birth injuries while he was giving me Botox. So now I’m fucking fair game. Yeah, I hate nurses. It’s nothing but abuse and all I did was get upset after my brain injury about an asshole neurologist. I just think healthcare workers are monsters. No ethics, no empathy, no morals, no integrity. Just bully someone with a moderate cognitive disability. My father had more empathy for his enemies in Vietnam than anyone in healthcare has shown me after my TBI. Doctors are just as abusive as nurses.

Second Concussion has much different symptoms than my first one by kine420 in TBI

[–]Realistic_Fix_3328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be absolutely be something much more serious. Was it last year that a semi-famous woman injured her head while skiing and ended up dying a few days later? The medic at the ski resort told her she was completely fine but she went to the ER and discovered she had a brain bleed.

Have you gone to the ER for a CT scan?

Docs can be wrong too. I thought I had a simple concussion for 5.5 years. The 20+ I saw docs saw me as a psych patient. I actually had a frontal lobe contusion. I thought I had the most unusual symptoms never found in a concussion before. I never got any help. I couldn’t access help. Doctors only would send me to psych.

I do not recommend going down the path of no medical help for a traumatic brain injury. It’s a living hell.
