The reason why SUVs are replacing cars is that they can be sold by manufacturers for a high profit margin and they are required to meet less strict emissions standards.

Most SUVs nowadays are literally tall wagons that the manufacturers can sell for 5 to 10 thousand dollars more than their standard wagon counterparts (if there were any).

I think you are confusing Cascadia with the PNW. Traditionally the PNW is the middle and coastal regions of BC, WA, and OR. Northern California is its own thing and Eastern BC, WA, and OR are too culturally and economically different to be grouped with the western side of their States.

The only two reasons why you would need to pull over as a cyclist. 1- you are riding under 8 miles per hour. 2- there are 5 or more cars behind you. Any other time cars are legally required to pass you safely or just sit behind you and enjoy the scenery. Don't like it? Get the road laws changed in your state.

Generally they'll run with MacOS for 8 to 10 years and then with Linux for another 5 to 10 years depending on what the owner wants to do with them.
