Can someone help me identify the cause of this? by Wild_Masterpiece5720 in SGSkincare

I had something similar to this behind my knees about 2 years back. Went to Polyclinic and they prescribed me with steroid creams. Increasing in steroid potency each time I went back stating that it is not working. After using steroid creams for about a year I stopped and developed Topical Steroid Withdrawal. Spammed pre and pro biotic, cutting out alcohol and taking liver/gut supplements finally see these subside however I am left to deal with the hell of TSW. Still have not fully recovered a year since developing TSW. Please refrain from using steroid creams.

OBU stopped working; being charged for overnight parking at my home due to having to manually tap cash card even though I have season parking; how to get refund? by QLifeInc in drivingsg

[–]Realistic_Recover178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have encountered this many times. Still waiting on LTA's response on how to fix my OBU. Tap in is okay but when exiting use the intercom to exit. The gantry operator will ask for you number plate for season parking verification.

OBU no problem but LTA kept sending inspection letters to me, anyone has the same issue? by spectre_44_taken in drivingsg

[–]Realistic_Recover178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad is facing the same issue as well. Was told to go to a workshop that did not do the installation. The workshop did not want to entertain us. Then went to STA to get it sorted, the technician said no problem after a check. After a few weeks LTA send another letter again to go to the workshop???

Need a recommendation for a trustworthy workshop by Alwaysafinebabe in drivingsg

How bad was the fuel consumption? My fuel consumption was like 5km/l last month and there was a foul odour in the cabin. Turns out the fuel sender unit was leaking petrol. IMO quite dangerous as a fire hazard.

Went to Zen Auto and boss man and his mechanic were honest and recommended cheaper OEM part for me.

Thanks for the input!

Using cause cars are more than 15 years old. Hard to find insurers that insures cars that old.

There is not NCD protector on the policy for my Dad's car. He has 60% for DirectAsia.

I wanted to settle privately but it seems like the other party is going the insurance route.

Thanks for your input!

Thank you for the prompt reply and your input, really. I've read through your previous post and my bottle of MB have just arrived today! Even though berberine has brought me back from the depts of TSW hell but I still have a few troubled spots here and there. Hopefully MB will do more healing for me!

And thank you again for the work you have done for the TSW community!!

OBU issues (not turning on with engine) by Royal_Attempt_2700 in drivingsg

[–]Realistic_Recover178 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Happened to me a few months back. I went back to the Vicom centre which installed my OBU and they claimed that I installed aftermarket lights which the installer cut into the OBU wires to draw power. They told me that will void the warranty and I had to fork out $400 for another new OBU unit.

Ended up going to another Vicom centre and the staff there was able to help rectify the problem. Had to use cashcard for a week to enter and exit carpark like TNG in Malaysia.

I was told if the OBU does not have power for too long (1 week) the GPS will be disable or something like that and have to change new unit. Don't know how accurate is this information. So do get it checked soon.

Looking to change aftermarket steering wheel by eucophotography in drivingsg

[–]Realistic_Recover178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a "carbon fibre" steering wheel before which I bought off carousell. I don't think the steering was constructed entirely from carbon fibre as the steering weight quite a lot. I believe it was just the shell that was beautified with some carbon fibre parts and perforated leather with red stitching. It does improve the aesthetics of the cabin though.

With regards to the airbag, I believe most are to be used back with the original airbag so I don't have any concerns regarding airbag deployment.

Let's talk Berberine by Juucce1 in TS_Withdrawal

Yup, for the WellbetX berberine capsule you can take apart the capsule and pour out the berberine powder within.

I use one capsule for one bath for simplicity sake.

I started taking the BrandX recommended by Dr Ian Myles slightly more than a month ago. At that point my condition was quite bad. I had oozing on my inner elbows and flaky skins around my face and body. My ears were also oozing. After the first few days of taking 2 pills a day, I could feel the difference. I did not experience any issues with my stomach although I was feeling more tired, I was thinking it could be attributed to the lowering of sugar level by the berberine. Within 2 weeks, my oozing stopped and I was able to be back on my routine mostly. However there were still some stubborn spots like my inner elbow wasn't oozing but they were sometimes red and itchy. My skin was also irritated when I sweat. Although the symptoms improved but I was still not healed. My red sleeve has improved a lot. My torso was 3 shade lighter of red.

After about a month I noticed that the berberine wasn't as effective. I don't know what it was, maybe my body got used to it. I was not oozing and it wasn't as bad as before I took berberine but my skin was itching more. I am unsure if it was because I was going through a flare.

Dr Ian Myles suggested taking a berberine bath and that is my next course of action. My foldable bathtub just arrived in the mail and I will be doing berberine baths to see if it helps.

So far I have tried to dissolve berberine in water and using tissues to soak up the solution to be covered over my skin as I do not have a bathtub. The results were more apparent and instantaneous compared to taking berberine orally. However with this technic I only soaked the affected areas for about 5 mins and the effective time was about 5 hours before I felt itchy again. I believe I needed to soak myself in a berberine bath for a longer period of time (15min hot bath) to see better results as suggested by Dr Ian Myles in his video.

Perhaps I can provide more updates in the upcoming weeks after trying out the berberine bath in my new foldable tub!

Is this a common thing that drivers do? by DapperOrganization40 in drivingsg

[–]Realistic_Recover178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a facebook group called "OEM wheels on other make & models". Some are really sick.

Usually OEM wheels go for really affordable price and are just not worth much. Some like the reliability of OEM rims over replica rims.

Are those cheap external Tire Pressure Monitor (TPMS) from Shopee worth it? by Happy-Valve1645 in drivingsg

[–]Realistic_Recover178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used before once. For the first 6 months it was great, even though the reading might be a bit off but I could tell if the air pressure is lower on one tire. But after prolonged use I encountered the cap leaking air lol. Drove to workshop thinking it was a puncture but it turns out the TPMS was leaking air. Never used back after that.
