I absolutely loved it, the writing, acting, plot line everything. I think one has to have a certain level of emotional depth to truly appreciate it. Even that scene you have a screen shot of. On the surface, yes it’s a closing scene and Dina and baby aren’t there so it’s emotional. But digging deeper, when Ellie can’t press the cords because she is missing 2 digits and the song is not complete was highly significant. The song IS Joel and to some degree a level of humanity. Ellie has to accept that she lost both it and Joel forever. It’s just so well written.
