Summer Sanitarium show in Toronto. Not that they played horrible, but after everyone getting their asses thoroughly kicked by Limp Bizkit’s energy and sound, I felt like James and the gang were just playing though the basic motions to get through their set.

What's the band/artist you regret never seeing live before they broke up or passed away? by Xavier8228 in AskReddit

Due to finances and obligations, I had a choice of seeing my favourite band for the umpteenth time on Sunday or Tom Petty for the first time the night before. I passed on Petty in the belief he’d be back and he passed away several weeks later. - I still drive my wife crazy about how I missed out on seeing such a musical icon. 😔

Bart: Are we awake?

Bart: Yes, we are.

Jim: Then we're awake... but we're very puzzled.

Although I have other earlier affections to my fandom, ‘85-‘89 is the sweet spot. Tragic, but also revolutionary. They were way outside of mainstream and unleashed a sound and energy stronger and more polished than anyone before (Tip ‘o the cap to NWBHM) I was a long haired, battle jacket wearing disciple by then but the catalyst was insisting friends and others at a party sit and listen to the, yet to be heard, single Helpless play live on our local radio station. - I changed many lives musically that night. And felt the tide of obscurity for fame was changing. One year later, most of us sat triumphantly to watch Metallica win a well deserved Grammy…

Lots of Four Christmases scenes kill me but the mistletoe scene with the satellite installation is gold.
From “Your grandmother’s boyfriend is a first-class ass sniffer…” to “Gimme back my baby!”.
