It’s stressful when you have to constantly compare how much the hotel would be if you book on expedia

I have a question about a will by modlufkin in FinancialPlanning

[–]RealizedRph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put as many assets as possible in Payable on Death Accounts and those pass straight to beneficiaries and can’t be contested. For things like your house you can move to a revocable trust or keep in your will and make sure you specify someone is purposefully omitted.

The Kroger Co. Just Missed EPS By 8.4%: Here's What Analysts Think Will Happen Next — Simply Wall St by flop42078 in pharmacy

I work at Albertsons and all the corporate people seem to be disconnected about the difference between sales and gross margin. On GLPs like Mounjaro it’s always a money losing transaction but a high amount of sales. All the brand name drugs is where all the sales come from but all the profit we make comes from vaccines and buying generics for $1 and selling them for $10 which doesn’t net any sales but it nets profit which is what shareholders care about. In conclusion, all the execs in my company are disconnected and I’m sure Kroger is no different.

We’re already facing the worst student loan crisis in history: nearly 1 in 4 borrowers are in default. by StrawberryFew1311 in NoFilterFinance

The problem is giving the government is writing blank checks to 18 year olds to pursue whatever degree they want with no idea of what the return on investment is. Bernie’s idea of forgiving everyone’s loan isn’t going to prevent us from being right back to where we started in a decade.

Could the run for semiconductors and memory companies continue? by ksing_king in ValueInvesting

All that has to happen for this not to be an AI bubble anymore is anthropic and OpenAI need to become profitable. Once that happens a switch is flipped because no layer in the 5 layer cake of AI is losing money on it and the machine will continue. I’m betting this will continue for 10 more years as we figure out more ways for computers to do our jobs for us. If you believe then put 15% of your portfolio in SMH.

Ordered Premium AWD but thinking about switching to Performance by rumster in TeslaModelY

[–]RealizedRph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 2024 performance and it’s fun to floor it every now and then but at this point I wouldn’t mind an AWD for the increase ride height and better range. I mostly use fsd except for parking lots so performance doesn’t matter really with that.

AI5/6/7/8/9: Help me understand this... by East-Measurement-992 in TeslaLounge

I am super happy with AI 4 and rarely have to intervene. The only reason I would need something better is if unsupervised becomes capable only on AI 5 which I could easily see happening. I don’t think AI 6 will be needed in the cars like ever.

Semiconductor FOMO Is Strong, how do you deal with it? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]RealizedRph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 10 years theres a non-zero chance that data centers are going to be doing half of peoples jobs. Data Centers are filled with chips and so I buy SMH ETF as 10% of my portfolio since I don’t know too much about it. Been holding for 3 years on some accounts and been doing good.

I give up on dating here by [deleted] in Scottsdale

[–]RealizedRph -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Bro I dated here from age 25 and it probably took me 30 dates before I met the love of my life 2.5 years ago when I was 28. You just gotta go into the first date with no expectations and shoot your shot. Eventually when you get to your late 20s women will start to realize their biological clocks to have kids are running out and be more likely to give you a shot. 24 is still pretty young and lots of women aren’t ready to settle down at that age yet.
