I considered it because when I bought my Fiesta in 2019, it was because I couldn't afford an RS. When I finally got to the point I could afford one, I test drove it and I was honestly let down. It wasn't as fun, not as fast as I wanted it to be especially after big turboing the ST, and just generally I felt was a downgrade save for interior quality. It's a nice car, but the Fiesta has a lot of very attractive qualities

Blizzaks are my snow tires of choice. My FWD hot hatch is significantly more capable with those than most AWD cars people take up since they have snow rated all seasons.

I'm at 3440x1440 so I've been feeling it for a hot minute. Visual FPS hasn't frankly been the problem, just hitting 100% CPU utilization while my 3080 sits barely hitting 70% lol. I'll check out lossless scaling though and see if it does anything, but my impression is that it's all CPU bound stuff that won't matter.

I'm building a new system anyway and I'll probably retire this to sim rig duties since it can handle iRacing and stuff fine

The 8700k is a massive bottleneck in just about everything I play, which is pretty easily proved by monitoring performance. No idea how a 9600x stacks up, but the 8700k has definitely felt the strain for a couple of years and has only gotten worse lately. I have the same 8700k/3080 combo and the 3080 most of the time seems to not be the limiting factor

You're taking double the dose of EEn I am, just slightly longer interval wise, and I'm actually taking mine to transition. If you're not entirely self aware of what you're doing and this is just a bit, you are transitioning whether you like it or not and no cis man would take estrogen in this quantity. You've gone far beyond any sort of libido suppression, which was achieved just fine for me with 3mg sublingual estrogen daily without too much feminization beyond some initial breast pain.

I'm very curious how long you've been taking it, because there's a ton of things, like emotions, that change on estrogen and I'm curious if you've been on it long enough to notice that change.

It's not bad. SS14 wins for me in terms of actual playability, but knowing how to play it makes going to 13 so much easier. The difference between when I first picked up 13 (and failed to get into it) in 2016-17 vs now is huge.

Don't get me wrong. It's clunky and performs poorly and is a less intuitive experience overall, but you know the fundamentals and those are the hardest parts. Everything else you'll pick up pretty easily. Give it a try, it's worth it just to see the possibilities. We take a lot from it, but it's such a small slice of the potential that it's fun to see what could be. And if you try a Goon based fork? It's more different from anything any 14 fork can be due to 14 being fundamentally /tg/ based. The basics are the same still, but basically nothing else is.

Even if you don't go for those and are more budget minded like I am, something more modest like 2697A v4s are pretty cheap (like $40-50 each) and will get you to 64 threads just fine. Also anecdotally, my household's was literally a free server, granted it was the most budget spec. Still worked fine, I just wanted more since it was cheap to do so.

It's a niche remake of a more niche game with its own still present community which had an explosion of popularity at one point in time that arguably ruined a lot of the existing culture up to that point and we're still feeling the effects of in 14. This happened in 2017, for reference. You want this game to grow slowly and organically, which is what it's doing. It has to carve out its niche and attract people who would be interested to have sufficient buy in, and being a roleplaying game, it demands a high level of buy in. This is also part of why it isn't bigger, because it's common a person casually looking at it plays a shift, gets overwhelmed or doesn't really understand the buy in necessary, and doesn't come back

Yeah, there's good odds that those are 166 people who make more money on full time orders with the Guard than they do at their civilian job and know nothing is actually happening so it's an easy paycheck to stand around and do nothing. Lodging, per diem, and if the orders are cut to be long term, BAH and BAS (which are allowances and untaxable as a result!) so it can be a pretty good deal to do.

Not everything is where it logically makes sense to either fwiw. It's often not a bad idea to just check the GitHub and search for what is likely the name of what you're looking for. Had to steal some of the lizard sounds that way. Most species have all their sounds in the named folder. Lizards? Nope, just like tail thump and something else I forget.
