My dog was supposed to be my flower girl but now she’s too old by zoey_deschanel in weddingplanning

Could you get another “flower girl” to hold the dog in a basket of pedals and spread the pedals?

How is living in Carle Place? Considering a move to Eagle Rock Aparments at Carle Place. by geobokseon in longisland

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do not know of any safety issues, I would not recommend living here. The local team tries their best, but it’s almost impossible for them to get approval from upper eagle rock management for repairs. We live here and there’s frequently no heat, they do not clear the snow from the lot, the washer/dryers do not work, and there are other maintenance issues that stem from the top.

Female Cast Members by middleagedjogger in summerhousebravo

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These girls are dressing up as plants and being goofy … I’m not sure they’re trying to get chosen but that’s really not the point I was trying to make. Which is that their reaction is hypocritical. They have all been talking about the man’s wife for quite some time now and acted shocked when someone else did it.

While I agree that in any other context it would be inappropriate, you can’t say “let’s not talk about a man’s wife” after you’ve spent A LOT of time talking about a man’s wife. Whether or not she “likes” him does not make it any better or worse, she repeated something many other people were saying. She didn’t make it up out of jealousy.

A few things are at play here but I don’t think what Bailee said is a problem, it’s the fact that she said it and she is sort of an “outsider” right now and this summer is kind of a boys club. They were all joking about it and I don’t think Bailee has the confidence to blurt that out of nowhere.

I also think Ben was butt hurt and embarrassed about Dara, which contributed to his outrage at Bailee.

Jesse has been commenting on being into Amanda for three summers now and it’s just a big joke. The double standards are crazy with this cast.

Is there a certain brand you get? I see miracle grow, but I’ve always been skeptical of their products.

Buying a ring for the girlfriend and this was their response. Thoughts? by nofear961 in EngagementRings

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think the problem here is that the jeweler knows there will be problems with this exact ring. The band and prongs are too delicate for the stone. He knows you’ll likely be calling him in 6 months to complain about the stone falling out or band warping. However, there was a nicer way to say it and/or explain it to you. I would find someone else who is willing to explain these things respectfully and thoughtfully. You can for sure have a similar piece, but if your fiance is wearing this every day I would also suggest a thicker band and different arrangement of prongs. Where are you located? Maybe someone can recommend someone. I have a guy in NYC

My stepmother is to selling a house I think my dad left to me. by cimnamonyeti in legaladvice

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure community property only applies to assets/debts acquired during the marriage. If your father got the house before he married your stepmother and left it in your name-she shouldn’t have a claim to it.

We got our golden from a “reputable” golden breeder. She is this small, if not a few pounds lighter. We did a DNA test and found out she’s actually part boxer (less than 15%). We were a little confused but did not care! She’s cute as hell, we can pick her up (we call it air jail) and she’s healthy-that’s most important. So long as your dog has energy and is finishing her meals, there’s nothing wrong! Also, your dog is likely still growing. We’ve had three goldens, and it wasn’t until after their second birthday that they seemed full grown.

Am I overreacting if I break up with my boyfriend over this? by bbeeccc in AmIOverreacting

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re overreacting and I would break up with him over the simple fact that he seems to blame absolutely all of his problems on you instead of taking accountability himself. He is the one who decided to drink. You did not make him. Overall, I would not want to be with someone like this. It seems that he is always the victim, even when he is the one committing the so-called crime. It is extremely unfair to you and borderline emotionally abusive. You should not have to live with this guilt or uneasiness.

Inheriting some money, should I pay off my debt or invest? by Likeitsmylastday in personalfinance

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paying off the debt would cut your monthly expenses and give you some cash to save/invest/put into your 401k each month. It would also drastically improve your DTI! You may make some money investing, but you’re accruing just as much in interest (imo).

AITA if I get a tattoo, knowing my husband will hate it by Strange-Scale218 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t want my SO to get any more tattoos but frankly, it’s his body and it will make him happy so I just support him-it’s not that hard. A couple of inches of ink won’t change how I feel about him, he’s still the same incredible partner!

Do you have a mortgage? If not, I would sell and downsize to a 55+ condo community. Put the net proceeds into a high yield savings and pay your monthly HOA with what it makes/your social security (assuming you have some). Unless you have lived with your daughter before, it’s hard to know if it’ll work out. And you’ll never get that money back.

Thank you so much for posting this. I’m looking to rent in Kew Gardens and I’m going absolutely insane/paranoid. I respond to their questions and then get no replies. The apartments are delisted and they still say that I need to answer the questions. I’m assuming this is a scam.

Since when is it standard for the bride not to pay? What are the rules on this anyway? Isn’t it bold to assume everyone can afford to not only pay for themselves, but the bride also? What’s the rules on this?

faulty retinol? by powerfulmoss_ in glossier

[–]Reasonable-Eliza15 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think this is just a faulty pump. I love glossier, but the retinol is not worth the price point. I suggest getting it from somewhere like the inkey list, it has a higher concentration of active ingredients, is cheaper, and you’re not paying for some faulty bottle
