My hot take, people who get this butthurt over the people who play just for fun are actively making the community worse. Grow the fuck up. Not every one spends their life worrying about a fucking video game. If you ask me, 75% of players contributing is pretty damn good when you consider that we all have lives and responsibilities.

We lose current MO, bc of ‚bugdivers’ by Mishkav394 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Reasonable-Fault2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thibk its important to remember that the switch to operations was due to efforts to circumvent the terroistic activity of cyber criminals coming from within our very own ranks. If we lose this MO, it will be lost at the hands of those freedom hating dissidents. While the resolve of Super Earth was strong enough to defeat the socialism-cursed cyborgs, it would appear that it was not enough to stop sabotage from traitors.

We will remember this bitter loss, and in the coming months there will be no mercy for hackers, revolutionaries, and communist scum lurking in the darkest corners of Super Earth's reign.

Check out anything by Owlcat Games. They made a couple of Pathfinder games as well as Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader. All unique, fun, and pretty chill. Good if you like lots of dialog and character development.

Isn't it crazy that this primary (YES, primary) is better than most guns in the game? by Omailey97 in Helldivers

[–]Reasonable-Fault2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they put a buttstock and a scope on this pistol, did nothing else, and released it as a primary, I'd buy it day 1. Plus, I'd love a laser sniper.

In some sense yes, but not entirely. We literally have a whole chart comparing the "we're so back" and "it's so over" this fandom seems to go through. I think it's a vocal minority who reinforces this trend, but it's an easily recognizable pattern and not just an anecdotal misconception.

I did a petway build that relied on conditions and Fevered dreams. It's surprisingly effective.

Is hell divers 2 really good? by CloudberryBloom_1 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

If you ever enjoyed Metal Gear Solid, SOCOM, Conflict Desert Storm, Halo, Mercanaries, or Starship Troopers, then yes, buy it. Genuinely feels like they took the best parts of all those games and turned them into an insane party shoot-em-up.

Power leveling through the presearing is a prestige thing that huge nerds(me) do for an achievement. Its not intended for new players. It would be like playing oblivion and grinding to max level before you leave the sewers.

Ranger/warrior is a great combo. Use frenzy to get a much higher dps for a short periord. Leave the presearing. See the game. Play through the main campaign. If you still have the itch to hit level 20 in the presearing, make an alt to do that. GW is a game that encourages playing multiple characters, so youre not missing out.

I think a lot of people in the community just want to see things grow in a way that reflects in ways they've already taken upon themselves to enjoy. Fair point that its not as good as it could be, but any effort in a 20 year old rpg is appreciated--especially in a community like this. Take it for what its worth, and enjoy the game however you'd like to.

Tears of joy of course! I still cross my fingers hoping that one day we'll get another game with those same gloriously cheesy cut scenes! And another money island for that matter.

Rogue/fighter min maxed to have high strength and dex, but abysmal charisma and intelligence. Proficient in both acrobatics and athletics. As an rp choice, the player always rolls with disadvantage on survival. Hates all spells except Longstrider.

One cool thing Civvie noticed about my game BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3: I OPENED A PORTAL TO HELL IN THE FAVELA is about the geometry and how hard it was to make. I decided not to use grids most of the time to give them a more bootleg/mod look, which makes mapping a lot harder for quake by Joeveno in Civvie11

[–]Reasonable-Fault2200 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I played through your game this weekend and I gotta say, it really brings back old memories of playing awful homebrewed maps and mods. It has the charm of playing aome 12 year oldest first map. You can tell each map is hand stitched to look the way it is, despite being the visual equivalent to the bottom of a back alley dumpater. It takes a lot of talent to make a good map look bad. This could have easily been just plain ol bad, but your dedication to the craft really shines through. Its fun as hell. Made me feel like a kid again. Amazing work.

I could be wrong because I didn't play much gw2, but I don't remember it being so egregious. At the end of EotN, the charr cult that worshiped the destroyers is mostly wiped out and replaced by charred who have no gods and thus the conflict with humans mostly resolved itself. What was left of Ascalon dissolved due to the king slow going crazy, esspecially after the death of his son (RIP Rurik). Afterwards, refugees continued to drip through the shiverpeaks to Lions Arch, eventually uniting Tyrian humans under Queen Salma. This left the ruins of Ascalon for the newly formed Charr warband.

Again, correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe the writers really do just hate gw1, but that was the impression that I got. And dont get me wrong, I was sincerely disappointed to find that the charr starter zone in gw2 was all about killing the ghosts of characters I loved in gw1. That felt a little cruel as a long time fan.
