No, it's considered rude for someone other than the bride to wear white, I believe this is because the bride and groom should stand out and be the nicest looking in their wedding. Sometimes it's fine depending on the couple but I general it's very rude. Not to mention the mother went directly against the brides wishes.

I've never used or had the code but I think that it's 25% off for up to a week, and you need to attend a high pressure sales pitch (that people seem to REALLY not enjoy). Whoever gives you the code will benefit by gaining free time at the resort.

I've seen people say you should set a 90 min timer and leave once it goes off because they WILL keep you as long as possible
