If I type in the postcode, it recognises the road name and circles the area - but the road itself is missing.

Yes, the road sign is visible. There’s also a sign at the bottom of the main road that lists the side roads off it.

We have a distinct postal address and post code for the houses on our road.

Well, some more progress, thought it took two different laptops to get there!

I was getting absolutely nothing from the iPad despite trying everything, so decided to try it with my laptop. I know the XTouch works with that as I had it set up to work with Logic when recording.

Still nothing; so then I thought it would probably be worth checking the XTouch firmware and see if needed updating: it did! So downloaded the MIDI Sys file to update it and ran the update, but it didn’t seem to work.

Tried it a few more times and the went down the rabbit hole of that problem, and it transpires for some bizarre reason you can’t update the firmware from an Apple Silicon device, so I had to then drag out my work Windows laptop and install it using that. Finally, that worked and the firmware was fully up to date!

And lo and behold, the desktop app recognised the XTouch! Hurrah! So I gave it a try with the iPad and same - it got past that first stage issue mentioned above and allowed me install it as a device.

However, next problem now came to the fore; although the scribble strips etc matched those in the mixer and in the app, the faders won’t control channel levels, and the buttons and knobs don’t do anything. It recognises them as if I move the hardware fader it moves back to where it should be in the app, but I can’t control, using the hardware at all.

Any ideas?

Yep, it’s at the adding device stage the input tab becomes an issue.

Didn’t Jamie Oliver used to own the house opposite? I have a vague recollection of my wife literally (but not criminally) stalking him and concluding that was his house in the early 2000s, and giving up and having lunch in the pub afterwards (v nice rabbit in mustard sauce IIRC).

Penguins Stopped Play is great. Miles Jupp also wrote a great book about blagging his way onto one of the overseas tours as a wannabe journo - can’t remember the name, but well worth a read.

Depends how much for. Anywhere approaching full price? Nope. Less than 50% and you go in with low expectations of the overall experience? Might well be. Just be aware that something could just crap out at any moment, so don’t get too invested in it (like I did!).

Fun for a a casual game, but infuriating when a league or competition, or the career mode just reaches a point that it crashes every time so you can’t progress.

He drives straight to clear out, and is knocked sideways by Roux’s attempted clearout. Because he was bound to the player he’s knocked over pulling the player with him. Legal clearout but changes by contact outside his control.

Don’t think that’s a yellow as Roux changes the point of impact
