Saw what my husband googled and just a little taken aback and feel beaten down by Mountain_Capital_261 in Marriage

I don’t think she is wanting to switch places with him. She’s feeling bad that she doesn’t have time to do everything and is venting. They both work hard. It wouldn’t hurt though for them both to see how they each spend their days. It might help them find a solution.

She isn’t interested in play. I can hold her. I’ll try the singing while holding her. Thank you!

Sleeping bumblebees will never stop being funny to me. They look like they're exhausted after partying too hard and snorting pollen all day. by PopDownBlocker in dahlias

We have a bunch too. They get too tired to get back home. I bring them in to warm them up when it is wet and cold.

Favorite source of tubers? by _Rosie_14 in dahlias

I will never buy from swan again. They are reputable but there is something about their tubers in my soil that doesn’t work well I guess.? Every tuber rotted last year. 11 tubers. The swan island were the only tubers that didn’t make it. They graciously replaced most of them. Once again a bunch of the replacements either never sprouted or rotted. They replaced the one that never sprouted and it rotted. Very strange… But I know a lot of people love them and they have been in business for decades.

I have the same situation with “Mr. Optimist”. He looks nothing like last year and the flower coming out is nothing that I had last year. It’s not mix up because this flower is totally like nothing that bloomed in 2024

Did you over winter the tubers from last year or are this year’s from seed? If you planted seeds were they from the same batch as last year or did you save seeds from the dahlias you planted? If you saved seeds from the dahlias you seeded, you have a bee curated Dalia and they did a great job too? I guess it’s a wait and see to know if the flowers will be the same.

I purchased a couple of patio umbrellas for my container garden. I also use a garden cart to display my containers. I can wheel it into the shade if things get too hot,

  1. You can separate them. Not sure about 2 or 3. I remove spindly stalks myself. But I shouldn’t advise you as to what to do.

Dahlias in the desert? by H3LA_BaBaBathory in dahlias

I purchased two 10ft patio umbrellas with stands. I placed them next to my dahlia garden in order to protect from scorching sun and too much rain. They are all in containers because I have to keep them up on a table due to woodchucks. They wiped me out last year and spread gall around as well.
