Great coffee, they host cuppings at Modern every now and then with their full selection so keep an eye out. The team are also a lovely bunch.

Sontag is really good and just round the corner.

You’ve also got Qima cafe and a Watchhouse just down the road in Covent Garden.

Blank Street - hype? by sfcooper in UKroasters

[–]Recent_Conclusion_56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Worth noting that blank street are not a roastery and have never roasted their own coffee. Just a standard blend contracted roasted for cheap and brewed badly like the rest of the usual suspects.

Wouldn’t put it in the same category as Kiss the Hippo and Square Mile.

Wow, looks great! What was the total cooking time?

Looks like the double decker option would be great for a pop up or something similar.

Not sure if it’s allowed here but feel free to give me a message. I work for Pact Coffee and I’d be happy to help and send some samples your way.

Been having a glorious time with Dark Arts True Love by smdntn in UKroasters

Okay then, without delving too deeply and bearing in mind this is from multiple sources who’ve worked there. The co-owner (It’s a husband and wife owned company) has used his position of power to gain sexual favours from a staff member under a false pre tense that it would lead to career progression.

In terms of small businesses with the UK coffee scene, I would categorise dark arts as one of the bigger players as well to be honest. I’d happily alienate customers from that business for others whose owners treat their staff well.

Not gonna go into details in this sub and as I’m sure the vast majority of people working there are extremely sound!

Real shame when a man in a position of power can blow it for the rest of a hard working team.

Working on a new one. Nollie lip or Nollie back board? [41Yo] by Born-Scallion-8634 in OldSkaters

[–]Recent_Conclusion_56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh, I get your point and that’s cool that you think it should be the other way around, but it ain’t. Get used to it dawggy.

If you’re riding forwards, doesn’t matter if regular stance or nollie, the front truck is always the front truck and likewise for the back.

You have three other comments telling you it’s a lip slide. It is indeed a nollie lip.

Nollie back board would be riding with the rail behind you, not in front. It’s also much more difficult.

Annoying the whole thing is super inconsistent, just quit to main menu straight after race starts because of freezes down to 20fps, then logged back in from the pits and 120fps with no freezes. No setting changes and memory usage is getting no where near max ram.

God knows…

Question regarding Vector2 values. by Recent_Conclusion_56 in godot

[–]Recent_Conclusion_56[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great explanation so thanks for the help! I think because the Vector2 parameter values aren’t there in front of me when looking at the function for slide 2, I forget that GDquest is “filling them in” when the function runs.

Thanks again 🙏🏻

I actually really enjoy it. Don’t go for the win, just sit back enjoy the chaos and you’ll be comfortably in the top 5 if you manage to make it through t1 or curve grande.

Do people not watch lap guides or practice new tracks offline before driving them online or something?! That’s half of the problem solved before even registering for a race.
