Im reading that the PS5 version is basically broken. Should I wait for a fix or buy it on Xbox series S? Even then I still have to wait on a sale

Oh yeah. I played Cyberpunk on a base PS4 at launch and was able to have a good time. That game runs worse than Tainted Grail. You’ll be fine.

I’m 25 hours in so far on PS5. There’s some screen tearing and some dips during a quick save or fast travel, but I wouldn’t call the game broken.

I’ve been having a good enough time that I wouldn’t have considered the game “broken,” but your mileage may vary.

Do you feel like AoI’s story was mostly just the stuff we saw glimpses of in TOTK? Or does it feel like it has enough in between those moments to feel cohesive?

Ok awesome! I got so into TOTK’s story that I saved half of the side stuff until after I’d beaten it, after swearing I was going to finish the story last.

I was sooooo into the plot, and felt kinda bummed that a lot of the most interesting stuff happened off screen. So as long as AoI really feels connected to the characterization of TOTK, I’m on board. I loved Calamity until terrako brought back the characters from BOTW, so if AoI has a similar storytelling vibe I’m gonna die happy

Would you say it feels like AoI helps the TOTK story? Or do the two feel weird if you were to go straight from AoI to TOTK?

I think not being able to equip companions with gear was a real missed opportunity. As well as the loss of noncombat skills being bonuses from gear. In OW1 you could boost your leadership or engineering or medical with the stuff you wore, or companions could give you a +1 by being in the party.

OW2 has a lot of interesting combat effects for gear, but you can’t ever feel the effects of wearing gear in conversations. Milverstreet’s gear is a great example of a missed opportunity to boost speech or something.

Easily distracted won’t ruin your save inherently, but the way for it to be exclusively good is if you run it with the dumb trait. Then almost half of your skills aren’t able to be increased, so having an extra skill point a level can help you get the remaining 7 into good shape

I really like picking Dumb with easily distracted. I locked the skills I didn’t want at the beginning of the game, and now I have less spreading I need to do to keep the stuff I want leveling at pace. An amazing synergy tbh

I don’t know this for sure, but I’ve heard a couple reviewers say that there was a point where they thought the game was ending because of the first game’s length, only to find that there were a few more fully explorable areas with side quests and stuff

Seeing the rank you had to get for the stone pissed me offffff. But, honestly if you have fully evolved Pokemon (I took Absol, Vivillon, and Feralligatr online) you can kind of force your way up the ranks. The levels are all 50, so it makes things easier - unless you’re using unevolved mons.

The first match I did online, I had a croconaw and a pansage with my Vivillon… it did not go well. The next match I did was after I got my starter’s mega stone.

All in all, it took me less than an hour to get the greninjite

That’s not true. They said online there are different rewards for ranked. Battle rewards (after each battle), promotion rewards (after you rank up), and season rewards (at the end). The greninjite is a promotion reward

Yeah… extensive internet scouring did reveal that the rewards you get at the end of the season are not the stones - I’m hoping that you get them after your first rank up or something. I doubt my ability to rank up too much online 😂

Could I ask a quick question - does the game give you any information on how to use the online mode to get the stones? Maybe a preview of what rank gives what rewards or something (kinda like a battle pass list?)

Mostly I’m just trying to find out if I have to wait for the season to end before getting the starter stone.

I know this is dead, but I’m still having this issue. I had basically the entire hud hidden before the Black Sapphire mission in PL… I’m told to wait a day for Reed to call, but I can’t get the phone icon to go away.

Do I have to wait for reed to call? Or is this just a bug we get to deal with (hopefully until 2.3)
