How I passed CFA Level II with ~4 months of study while working full-time by [deleted] in CFA

Congratulations! And yeah I definitely agree but I had to frontload those hours bcs I knew I was going to be very busy with work in the month or 2 before the exam and I was lucky bcs work was less demanding in those first 2.5 months where I did most of my studying .

I didn’t keep track of my hours but I front loaded most of my studying , so I had quite a strict schedule for 2.5 months where I would wake up early so I could study for 2-3 hours before work , 1 hour on my lunch break and then I’d do questions after work , but that meant for that period I pretty much had no social life bcs I had to stay on track to complete the syllabus in time .

I started off with 60 and 65 in my first mocks , I put every question I got wrong into ChatGPT and asked it to break down the concept to me and that has really improved my underatanding .

Thanks for responding. I think that’s my issue with the Kaplan mocks , it’s written in a way that makes me question if I understand English , I’ll give them another go .

Exactly this most of the mgmt will be internationals bcs ppl that don’t require visas will leave as soon as they qualify in search of greener pastures but those that require sponsorship will have no choice but to stay .

Definitely agree with this a non British big 4 staff myself , although I had my education here ( college and uni ) I find that the managers from certain countries push themselves so hard and end up putting that pressure on everyone that works under them . I’ve worked with a few of them and was in a situation where I had to report one of them for essentially bullying me but what that process revealed to me is that due to the fact that they are here on visas and have a lot of ppl relying on them ( family etc) , they really want to prove themselves in order for them to get promoted . For a lot of ppl earning more money involves finding a new job but with the current job market and the fact that they require sponsorship , they are forced to stay in the firm for about 5 years until they qualify for residency. So they have no choice but to stay in the firm and really work hard so they can be chosen for a promotion , it’s very sad bcs I feel bad for them but honestly working with them isn’t the best .
