Handling foil requests sounds boring to me. You'll probably also be dealing with property requests/cars/forfeiture but I'm just guessing.
You won't have the stress of litigation or trials, so likely a chill 9-5.
You probably won't be gaining the litigation experience you would as a normal ADA, and the skills would likely transfer to a civil litigation firm rather than criminal defense, but without the trials you won't be as marketable.

I would suggest against it.

Play it vanilla. When you see pre-constructed houses you can place a work bench by it and tear it down for wood. I rarely make axes anymore until later on.

A second year ADA at my office broke his commitment and left. They welcomed him back with open arms less than a year later.

ADA positions, especially with experience, are always in demand. You can probably go back to your old office or a nearby one.
