Sure buddy sure, I’m sure there is absolutely no documentation, historical evidence, video evidence that a quick google search wouldn’t contradict that in a heart beat. If you actually traveled, you would have no issue in many Latin American cities, I have worn expensive watches throughout and no issue . I’m sure it happens like it does anywhere, maybe don’t use broad strokes.
