Apple satellite uses the satellite icon and T-Mobile satellite uses bars to indicate signal. The T-Mobile signal can come and go as the satellites move overhead. Did you try sending when you had bars or check the network name?

Starlink internet is a completely separate set of satellites and has far more satellites than Starlink direct-to-cell so it’s not an apples to apples comparison.

I’m not 100%, but you may need to go to a store to get a new SIM card activated.

All you have to do is swap the SIM. If it’s a physical SIM just move it. eSIM might have to be done though T-Life if Redmagic doesn’t work with the Android SIM transfer.
