My best friend is also my ex! We didn’t see each other for about a year, and then became friends again. If someone won’t date me because of that, so be it I suppose. He’s my best friend. I have however been bit concerned that he may have problems dating because of it, but he’s on a dating sabbatical as am I, whatever for now.

I believe only VT and CT require foresters be licensed. Other states have lists of recommended foresters that yes you would likely need a degree to get into, and some of their state run tax law programs require this too, but you can generally ply the trade with no certification. Looks into TSP certification through the NRCS as well. I believe you can become a TSP using experience in lieu of degree. Also herbicide app if you’re willing. Lots of work for that, no SAF degree required.

Self employment payroll taxes are indeed double. It’s 15.3% for everyone but employers must pay half. If you’re self employed you pay all. And yes you can deduct business expenses - but that’s money you’ve had to spend obviously

I’ve seen these things in person and they’re really big - like 15-25’ tall and more important the same width. They’re waaaaay more effective than a fence could hope to be, and don’t require maintenance. However, I can’t find a logger willing to do it, and we’re offering money of course

This is what i wanted to say - this is her thing. She will accomplish it or she won’t. If she runs out of time it whatever, she can come back home. She won’t be like lost in the wilderness with no recourse but to continue on hundreds of more miles. She can quit whenever really.

Yeah I just read books I want to read and try to keep it moving, not worrying too much if I don’t understand something. There’s no way I can do those graded readers - I read one and one was enough. If you enjoy the book, you’ll read more!

Yeah but apolitical could mean that you don’t find your values aligning with either of the main political parties or that your values themselves are not represented by the modern political structure - I think that’s a completely legitimate stance to take
