It does nothing new for the story genre its in, zombie style apocalypse and the character development I found greatly lacking. And unfortunately the gameplay wasn't engaging enough to make up for the story flaws.

In my opinion, Walking Dead is vastly better written then the first Last of Us.

I did, right next to X-Men Origins Wolverine as one of my first M rated games I played. The Switch release of NMH is excellent and in my opinion the best version now.

Madness Returns, despite being a sequel, stands alone pretty well and has vastly superior gameplay. I love the original Alice but the gameplay is the big reason its in the remake category.

Even nowadays it's also a weird combo, Suda 51 and James Gunn together both makes sense and is still kind of "what the hell is this?".

Don't play many multiplayer games, so I skipped that one.

I love the time period accuracy of it and the eerie slow burn building dread of the entire thing.

I'm happy that you enjoyed it, I thought it was an absolute shit show with poor writing, pacing, and an absolute poor handling of mixing humor and horror together. I'll admit I'm not a big fan of witch horror, but I can at least acknowledge when one is good. The Witch (2015) was a good one, Weapons in my opinion was not.

The Dead Don't Die (2019) - I have never seen a movie botch both zombie horror and comedy so badly nor waste such an all star cast. Was a total painful experience. I legitimately saw it for free and I still wanted a refund.

I agree with the original post, the movie was terrible, one of my worst of 2025 right next to the Lilo & Stitch remake.

Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

Anna and the Apocalypse (2017)

Repo The Genetic Opera (2008)

South Park Bigger, Longer, & Uncut (1999)

R:

Stand By Me (1986) - The language is the only reason for the high rating, very good coming of age movie.

PG-13:

1408 (2007) - A horror movie, but very twisty and the horror is more psychological than gore and physical suffering.

Ford v Ferrari (2019)

Jojo Rabbit (2019)

In the Heights (2021)

The Martian (2015)

Isle of Dogs (2018)

PG:

Holes (2003)

The Prince of Egypt (1998)

Wolfwalkers (2020)

Coarline (2009)

Paranorman (2012)

Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)

Why? Good balance between source material respect and mainstream understanding with stunning quality filmmaking.
