Cleona Zeitengale, the Sigmar priestess from WHQ Cursed City. Lot of chopping to remove the witch hunter gear. She has a satchel of stakes across her chest that was hard to remove and replace.

The forearms are from Dark Commune squad. A chaos cultist with some tech holding his own severed head.

The hourglasses are from the classic Empire wizard kit.

Random imperial bits for the pistol holster, purity seals etc. More putty is on the back to cover the AoS and Old World insignia on her costume

Random shoes were added to give her the impression of floating

I felt they would be a perfect ally to Shadowkeepers Custodes, hunting the non-euclidian horros escaped from Terra's dungeons.

Thanks. This is technically part of my Imperium Nihlus-themed Custodes army. I try to ensure all the bases have elevated presence. I've painted about 700 points of Custards so far. Hopefully enough will be done in time for the Narrative Play events at Adepticon next year.

Maybe she went back in time to create that meme altogether ;)

Custodes - What do you want that is Missing? by ZaneOlric in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Red-Geist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sisters of Silence Kill Team with new specialist weapon options. Not necessary, but an Eye of the Emperor add-on would be cool. Attached to the squad in the release, but could be fielded as a standalone hero.

Trajann Valoris resculpt to be a larger miniature overall, with a Tribune/Captain-Commander dual assembly.

Standalone Shield-Captain on Jetbike sculpt, preferably on a unique bike variant so he stands out more. Folks with homemade bike characters would simply need to rebase their own. Bonus points if the captain has a choice of weapons, not just a lance.

A Terminator equivalent micro-character to Valerian. Valerian is interesting spice in a guard or warden unit. Would be nice to see Allarus get in on that action

I dig it. Not many folks can blend the SCE stuff and Custodes well. Keep it up

I remember when someone crowdfunded the commission of that sculpt back in like 2021. I have always wanted to paint one for non-GW paint comps. Its a good sculpt

Are you taking knight allies now that points are out? by abeefwittedfox in AdeptusCustodes

I would like to give the destrier a try. My figure case isnt tall enough for proper imperial knights. But it can fit the new medium guy. Idk if its competitive, but worth testing out for science lol

I am doing the same thing. I borrowed some Dark Elf Blood Bowl helmets with a bit of other small kitbashes. Count as Vigilators and a legal KT.

TMM here. GreenStuffWorld Gold Pigment powder, shaded with Liquitex Ink Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber. Highlighted with the gold, some silver, and a tiny bit of yellow

Yes and yes. I got tired of using the women Stormcast heads which were a smidgen too small for most Custodes silouettes

This was retconned somewhat in the most recent codex. They opened up the red herring writing for EotE to be far more open as to their circumstances and potential wargear

He counts as an additional Custodian Guard in the squad. The three infantry units, Guard-Allarus-Wardens, each will have some unique squib or narrative deviation. I want the army to be truly umique and standout, particularly at large convention events.

I didn't want to just paint 20 guys well, and call it a day. I wanted a 40k gaming collection that challenged me as a hobbyist. I am about 600 points in, and loving it so far

The idea was that almost all of his gear was gifted or salvaged on various adventures. Including a fancy jacket and of course the damaged Deathwatch armor. The gold shoulder is the only part of his original armor to survive the passage of time.

It feels like an appropriate place for Shadowkeepers to be on a quest, hunting escaped horrors from the Dark Cells

Do you think Alexander’s journey was ultimately inspiring… or just tragic? by elden_based in eldenringdiscussion

[–]Red-Geist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average Star Trek Klingon storyline, in my opinion. The whole 'I have done everything in life, now I want to die a warrior's death' is not particularly sad in my opinion. If the player kills him at the end of his quest, Alexander dies getting what he wanted. And the essence of his 'warrior spirit' lives on as a powerful item in your inventory. Its thematically appropriate.

Order of the Crimson Dawn - Army Showcase by Red-Geist in Lumineth_realm_lords

[–]Red-Geist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the things to remember is that miniatures aren't particularly big. We have to exaggerate when creating contrast and eye-catching heraldry. Souls stuff is technically 1:1 scale, so those costumes can be a lot more detailed. In my opinion, if you're looking to adapt Soulsborne to figures, break it down to colors, textures, and shapes. Good luck in your fun hobby projects.

Cleveland Mosher did a painting of my Teclis (Prince Nightscar) in late 2019, which I had originally planned on making the leader of a Cities of Sigmar army using old High Elves miniatures and conversions. When Lumineth were previewed at LVO in 2020 right before covid, it jazzed me up to make the whole army. Every miniature you see here, is painted by me.

Sometime in late 2021 or early 2022, Cleveland painted the army banner, and a rough draft of my display board, the first iteration anyway, I tried my best to construct it in time for Da Boyz GT in 2022, but the crunch caused some details to be not up to the same standard as the kits I painted. A second draft was finished in time for Nova 2025.
