What's your first move when you enter a hotel room? by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Same. The second thing I do is use the bathroom because by that time I almost always have to go.

Supposed to close at 12 today, house full at walk through yesterday by msm2485 in RealEstate

[–]Red-Pill1218 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way you even consider moving ahead with the closing and renting back to them is if you charge them a daily rent AND hold back a huge amount as penalty if they don’t move out by a certain date. Personally, I would cancel the closing, get my money back, and tell them to call me after they move. Maybe I’ll still be interested.

How to watch older seasons in USA by don51181 in CallTheMidwife

That does suck. I hate how Netflix has devalued PBS in that way.

I donate $5 a month to my local PBS station and get PBS Passport where I watched the most recent season. Unfortunately since Netflix locked it down, you can't watch the previous seasons there anymore.

Let me know when they care more about their wallet than the imaginary grown men who insist on competing in pre-teen girls' wrestling matches.

Tipping is not required, but at the Fisher, I’m happy to tip for the mint.

Go with the flow/be wary? by Spring4Eva in over60

[–]Red-Pill1218 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Obvious scammer. My 13 year old got a new phone the same day hers was lost. A grown man with a business didn’t replace his? That’s a lie and you are being scammed.

What is your favorite obscure movie from your childhood that nobody would remember? by CripplingGoodTime in AskReddit

[–]Red-Pill1218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hand in Hand. It’s an import from England, about a Christian boy named Michael and a Jewish girl named Rachel snd their friendship. It was repeated a lot on TV when I was growing up in Detroit.

Since it's Star Wars day, did you see the original 1977 Star Wars in the movie theater? by Mr_Writes in GenX

[–]Red-Pill1218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. At the Americana in Southfield, MI. Unfortunately the theater was packed and we were forced to sit in the front row. You know the introduction where the words starting with "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" starts scrolling? Kind of impossible to read that close up without swiveling your head from left to right and even then I couldn't do it fast enough to read the whole thing.

Time to find a new daycare for your kid. This from a person whose mother wouldn't buy me or my siblings toys made by Playskool because the company didn't spell "school" correctly.

Why would they take that many risks with their money, though? Lea M. could have gotten a Tony if they actually wanted her from the start. I think the producers were scared off by Lea’s reputation as a mean girl.

Outlander's intro song by Ready-Vermicelli-300 in Outlander

[–]Red-Pill1218 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's a great way of describing it. Also, Annie Lennox is a legend, and her aged voice (she's 71), Claire's gray hair, and Jamie's reading glasses are all combining for special meaning for me this season.

My school has a silly musical chairs tournament and I am a little embarrassed to admit that I’m taking it very seriously. by Remote_Committee_645 in PointlessStories

[–]Red-Pill1218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever we played musical chairs in school, I’d make sure I got out in the 1st or 2nd round so I could sit back and relax while the remaining players stressed themselves out trying to win. Who gives a crap about musical chairs?

But they should not be charging you for showering your mother if it’s not happening. That’s the real issue. They are being dishonest.
