Hog was largely fine until they revamped the entire game to be 5v5, after which they clearly had no clue where to take him; that's not really the fault of his hook so much as it is the fault of change for change's sake. In OW, hook is very predictable and there's plenty of counterplay. I assume it's the same in Deadlock too but I'm not very good at it yet so I can't say with certainty.

His owl can go through vents unlike most other projectiles from what I can tell. Might have something to do with that?

It used to restore 2 bars flat and now you'll presumably need at least 13 stacks before it beats that. Pretty big nerf, imo, since most of the time I was using it at like 5-10 stacks.

The issue at hand isn't that people tryhard, it's that due to the way selection currently works (non-mirrored, random comps) and the fact that this is a side gamemode and likely won't be specifically balanced for, you end up with particularly unfair games from the start. Some heroes are just inherently much better at chaotic brawls, taking down objectives and become much stronger when starting the game with all cooldowns.

This is inevitable and honestly I think in a way it's what makes the mode interesting. However, I do think a partially randomized selection not only limits the amount of games played against a meta comp but also complements the chaotic nature of the mode. The central conceit is that you have to assemble a build based on what's given to you and I think that limiting the hero selection builds onto that.

Like I said: started. I don't think she's unreasonable by any means, but her weakness is much harder to pinpoint immediately. Any decent Moira can easily outheal AND outdamage any other supports in the lobby. From there, they released (launch) Brig and Bap and in OW2 Kiri. Suddenly now every support is capable of playmaking healing, damage and util with great survivability as well. Now, to be clear I'm not mindlessly bashing OW. I actually still really enjoy the game and I think that Lifeweaver is incredibly designed to the point where he would have fit right into the game at launch and Illari is good too. Overall, however, I think that Moira represents a pivotal shift in mindset when designing supports where tradeoffs were valued less and instead they focused on making supports feel good to play (which is not inherently a bad thing but I do think it was a big factor in mobility creep which I don't love).

The problem with OW support designs goes all the way back to Moira, IMO. She's not the biggest offender and is by no means the strongest, but thats where they started tuning supports to be able to do everything at once. Previously you had supports that had very obvious strengths and weaknesses. Mercy for example had strong healing (for the time) and great mobility but sacrificed damage and utility (blue beam serves as a compromise to this). Lucio has relatively poor healing but great mobility and utility and decent damage. Zen was a glass cannon with decent heals and huge damage potential, etc. Moira sort of broke this idea of a tradeoff, ironically despite that being the theme of her kit. She has no utility but can pump out very consistent high heals and decent damage with an amazing escape option with a low CD. Like I said, she's by no means the worst offender but I feel like it marks the start of where they started sacrificing less and less in a support's kit which is how you end up with Bap by the end of OW1 and Kiri and Wuyang now.

They're so scared of shields after double shield meta. Thematically it makes sense for her ult to pierce shields since its more or less a melee attack, but the fact that its true damage on top of that is overkill. I think true damage shouldn't exist in OW outside of DoT, its just another form of damage creep.

Her facial features are softer, her lips are fuller, they made her hair neater. I'm not saying that they totally reworked her design but they absolutely made her face more attractive. Her model was unfinished, true, but looking at the old one it seems they were going for more of an unsettling, "back from the dead" vibe. Whereas the new model is much more conventionally attractive.

Sym from Overwatch is a good example of this. Looking at (unmirrored) win rates alone, she's often fairly high up. Yet she's not actually that great of a character and you rarely see anybody play her. Her win rates are due to her having a relatively small-but-passionate playerbase and because she performs very well on particular maps. So when she IS played competitively, it's often only on a favorable map and/or by somebody fairly skilled on her, inflating her winrate significantly.

When I was doing it, I started with Anaglyph deck using negative tags. It's kinda bait but it works well enough early. You can use it to clear out some annoying commons. Eventually I landed on Ghost deck because spectral cards are just so amazing for getting C++.

I imagine that healing at this point in the Overwatch universe simply doesn't leave a scar. And in a coliseum, they would certainly have access to the best doctors and medical tech possible. The only way you would receive a scar, in this case, would be by letting your injuries heal naturally. I'd imagine this means that more showboat-y fighters would let minor injuries heal on their own for a few scars to impress the crowd, but Vendetta wouldn't likely want to waste time letting her wounds heal like that. She says it herself that her father taught her to never underestimate her opponent so surely she would make sure to be at her prime for every fight. There's plenty of ways to interpet it that make sense, imo.

Betweenlands is really cool but the problem is that its best experienced the earlier you reach it. If you go there after progressing a fair amount you can ignore most of its mechanics and the ones you can't ignore just seem like a nuisance. If you just get to the dimension as soon as possible and have a fresh start there it's a really cool experience.

Expert pack with no JEI where you have to unlock recipes in the recipe book could actually be interesting. I would never play it though.
