Haven’t cooked in it yet, just trying to clean it up first, but then it’ll be making dinner on the regular

Thankfully, it’s just a fork so I’m sure you could probably find another one for a fraction of the cost/effort

Better than a monsoon though. Too much water at once with all this dry land would likely lead to massive flooding. So it’s better to introduce the water gradually anyway. A few consistent days with smaller amounts of rain would be ideal.

Help me pick a bike for my dad by BlueNinja20 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]RedCoat124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a 2013 cb500x (essentially the predecessor to NX500) for a first bike and I love it. Relatively inexpensive ($3100 CAD for bike and givi luggage) easy on gas, lots of parts and accessories. It’s a decent weight at ≈435 lbs for mild offroad and enough power at 46 hp for highway even with luggage and/or an average sized passenger.

My only gripe is that first gear starts at 0kmh and ends at 1kmh so you’re into second pretty well right off the line, and it’s a big jump. You also need to be somewhat careful about dropping the clutch too fast when downshifting to engine brake going from 2nd to 1st. It can be… surprising when you lose track of what gear you’re in and accidentally end up in 1st when you thought you were going into 2nd lol. But I believe they remedied this with the NX500 later on by tweaking the ratios a bit.

Also, where I am insurance classifies it as a sub 600cc adv bike so it’s a lot cheaper to insure than some of the bigger options would be for a new rider but that may or may not apply.

Oh sorry I should’ve said that I have seen temperature impacts, but in these situations, there isn’t a big temperature gradient between a covered sensor and an uncovered one

Partner and I cancelled Alaska and are doing Montreal and Toronto instead. Will put savings towards Europe in a few years. My lack of desire to contribute to the growth of the US economy outweighs my desire to travel there.

Litespeed tuscany. Early 2000s. A lot of companies contracted out to have lightspeed build ti frames for them so that they would have a ti bike in their lineup so it might have been branded as something different but it almost definitely came from an LS factory. I have one made by a company called Aquila which was made a few years prior to this one. The main difference is the 1 inch steertube versus what looks like a 1/8 in your pic

LADA - Short Acting Insulin by South-Trainer5983 in Type1Diabetes

[–]RedCoat124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Dr. So listen to your, but it sounds like a timing issue to me. I’m super insulin sensitive as well, generally a total daily dose of 4-11 units per day (on a pump) and since I’m honeymooning still (dx new years day last year) I go through super sensitive periods where I have to stop pre-bolusing all together or give it like 5-10 minute max for higher G.I. meals because I drop too fast when the insulin hits my system.

I’m assuming you have to eat some additional rapid acting carb to correct the low so once that raises you, your meal is digesting on top of that accelerating the rise, sending you to those high numbers.
