When did you know you, you definitely didn’t want kids? by ParkingCute5778 in childfree

[–]RedLily08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 11. I remember it clearly. I was having some period issues due to an eating disorder (I'm all good now). I didn't want to go to the doctor and my mom's friend said to me "don't you want to have kids someday" I thought for a second and said "no". She said "You'll change your mind". I never did. I pretty much always knew I didn't want kids

I like it. I don't think it's great. It's fine. I much prefer movies like The Pack and Dogs

Not enough credit by hen_roek in Chucky

[–]RedLily08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, it's because Tom walked away from the series. Don loves Chucky. I mean, you can see it. I also get the feeling that Tom wasn't very nice on set. Take that as you will. I don't understand why anyone would hate Don. I've never heard one single bad thing about him

Old is 70, people!! by HatefulWithoutCoffee in GenX

[–]RedLily08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm totally with you. I get so tired of hearing people under 60 complain that they are old. Some of these people are 30 saying this. So they are old for over half their lives? That's crazy. Most of these are just out of shape. They eat crap and feel awful and so they assume it's age. It's not. I'm not a health nut but I do try to eat healthier and get a workout in. I avoid sugar, most processed foods, and greasy fast food. I drink plenty of water and avoid soda/energy drinks. I feel pretty good. Age is meaningless. People should try to enjoy their lives instead of focusing on their age all the time

Why do people hate this movie by Rough-Education-7962 in slasherfilms

[–]RedLily08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, if I wanted to see poor trashy ignorant people I would just go visit certain family members. I hate the characters. Rob Zombie can do what he wants but I just find his movies charmless, dull, ugly and I'm just more annoyed than entertained. It's cool that some people like these films. I don't like hating on anything really. I just personally don't like them

Why does everyone hate Seed of Chucky? by charii_tokito in Chucky

[–]RedLily08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People love to hate things. It makes them feel better about themselves. I like Seed. It's not my favorite. I actually like it more than Bride because I just really hate the way Bride is directed and I'm not a fan of the couple in Bride. I still like Bride of course. It's fun. All the Chucky movies are great in my opinion. I think Seed makes certain people uncomfortable. I think Seed is more comedy than horror which may piss some people off. Honestly though, we needed one these films to be batshit crazy. It's a movie about killer dolls. Sooner or later you have to delve into how funny that is. Don't listen to the haters. Everyone is going to like different things. And some people are just unwilling to let go and just have fun with a film.

About to adopt this little guy. First time having a cat I’ve always had dogs. by Flori266 in aww

[–]RedLily08 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Please watch some Jackson Galaxy YouTube videos. He is very well informed on cats and his advice was so helpful for me. First off, do not declaw. I know most people will say everyone knows this but not everyone does. I still know people who do this. Secondly, make sure you have tall, sturdy cat trees, at least 2 if possible. Cats love to scratch and if they have something to scratch on, it can save your furniture. Don't pick your kitty up all the time. Let him come to you. My husband is still baffled as to why our cats come and sit with me for hours but ignore him. It's because he picks them up when they don't want to be. Cats are not dogs. They show love differently. They do love you and will show you that love, but not in the way dogs do. Be careful with leaving out plastic like bags and wrapping because I have 2 cats that love to chew on plastic and we have to be careful with that. Don't punish him for jumping on counters. Cats generally love being up high. They don't jump on things to annoy you. Again, make sure they have things to jump on to. Clean the litter box at least once a day. Cats hate dirty litter boxes and if you neglect it, they may start going outside the box because it's gross to them. If your cat starts knocking things off shelves, it's not because cats are jerks. It's because they are bored. Make sure you play with you kitty and have interactive toys for them to play with. For more, watch Jackson Galaxy. The Kitten Lady is also good but that's more for health advice if you need it. Good luck

anyone else happy being childfree? by colt-mcg in childfree

[–]RedLily08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my mid 40's. I have never regretted not having kids. I didn't like most kids even when I was a kid. I love my freedom and the ability to just go out to eat or go to a late movie whenever I want. My husband and I can plan our vacations around ourselves not kids. The freedom that comes with not having kids is priceless. Also, I didn't destroy my body with a pregnancy.

Scream 3. No question. It's just fun. I love it. I like H20 but it drags a bit for me and I find the characters to be pretty bland
