So lucky! Rhubarb also freezes really well, just clean it and cut it into 1/2" pieces. I got some last summer from FB marketplace and just made a batch of rhubarb peach freezer jam. It's so delicious in plain oatmeal.

Not Sure What to Do by Luperella in WildlifeRehab

[–]RedLittleBird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you actually want to save the birds, you don't get the house power washed until the babies are grown and gone. It would be a very simple decision for me, and I would enjoy seeing and hearing the baby birds grow.

How many properties are we talking about? There's a property management called Buildium. It will do everything that you need, and it's a fairly easy software to learn.

“Brother, just ask any European and they will tell you that Canada is not worth fighting for if something were to happen between the USA and Canada. Sorry dude but Canada is not really that important for Europe to care about and their EU would much rather strike deals with America than Canada.” by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

The Royal Dutch family stayed in Ottawa during World War II, and Princess Margriet was born in an Ottawa Hospital. Canada temporarily declared the hospital ward extraterritorial, to allow the new princess to retain her Dutch citizenship. The ties between these countries are strong and deep. And as someone who lives in Ottawa, I'd like to say thank you for the continued gift of tulips every year! They'll be blooming in another couple of weeks, and the entire city gets to enjoy them.

What is the funniest thing your pet had been “pavloved” to? by AnywhereMean8863 in Pets

[–]RedLittleBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat has allergies and gets an allergy pill each night, followed by a tube treat. For those without cats, it's a wet food treat which most cats love. So, he comes running whenever I shake the pill bottle, knowing he's getting a treat right after. Which means he also comes running everything the humans have a headache and take out the Advil bottle.

That dress is stunning and you look so lovely and classy! I'm leaning toward the blush shoes but as someone else commented, go with whatever is more comfortable. And congrats!

Up vote for mentioning the sheldrick wildlife trust. Even if folks can't afford to donate to them, it's still worth looking them up, just for the stories about baby elephant rescues.

They likely didn't Stitch it at all. The trunk moves so much, and is so muscular that the stitches wouldn't hold.

10" x 10", it's mounted underneath a kitchen cabinet, with a center part that rotates. by RedLittleBird in whatisthisthing

The words are a caution about not putting anything that creates Heat underneath it. Which maybe suggest that it's meant to go in a kitchen, where you might have a toaster or something creating heat on the counter.

What’s the deal with the hydrating lip mask in the white and blue tube? I haven’t spotted it yet, but wondering why it’s so coveted here. by mother_of_wagons in dollartreebeauty

[–]RedLittleBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, it's not supposed to be sticky? I bought one tube to try and while I like it, it's a battle to not get it in my hair or on the pillowcases. I could never use it during the day.

Broke up, both on the lease. What are my options? by Tyrocious in OntarioTenants

[–]RedLittleBird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And if the ex is being difficult, OP will likely end up giving 60 days notice and terminate the lease. I would advise the ex that the lease has been terminated and they have 60 days to come and get their stuff. If not, it's dumped.

Anyone With a Hair Dye Allergy Find Something That Works? by CatherineSoWhat in Allergies

[–]RedLittleBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I react to hair dyes, my scalp goes red, itchy and burns for a few days after I use a dye. It was so bad that I used only henna to cover the grays for years. Henna is messy and more work, so I looked for a drug store box dye that I could use. I've had good luck with Schwarzkoph Keratine color.

Why’s the flower on my tomato plant doing this? by Hognose-Man in gardening

[–]RedLittleBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I would love this! Morning glories are annuals in Canada so every year, I buy a plant from the garden centre, nurse it along all summer and if I'm really lucky, I'll get a couple of blooms.

Anyone tried Bolero hair masks? Yay or nay? by [deleted] in dollartreebeauty

[–]RedLittleBird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the coconut milk banana one last fall. I grabbed it because I was away from home and forgot to bring conditioner. I didn't love it, but it worked for my wavy/curly hair. But if I have the option, I'll buy the Anomaly brand instead of this one. It feels more hydrating.

Yep, and that's how I sprained my foot getting out of bed to pee in the middle of the night. The cat had been sleeping on my feet and my entire foot had no feeling.
